It’s not a beta. It’s a full release, with them dipping their toes in the water to see how much monetization they can get away with and to cover themselves for releasing an unfinished game.
Players need to voice there concerns now. 343 is testing the waters on how far they can push these monetization schemes. As long as people stay constructive I don’t see a problem in players complaining about practices they don’t agree with
This is the exact timeline of cyberpunk
halo infinite is on track if this keeps up sadly
I think the criticism is warranted however there seems to be quite a bit of sensationalism (especially from content creators). A lot of things should be here. This includes modes, options, and balanced Battle Pass progression. No one is arguing this at all. The split is with the expectation of arrival.
If 343i doesn’t release Team Slayer, Doubles, SWAT, and other base modes at launch then they need to explain beforehand. The announcement of the “beta” made it seem like this was launch content. I wouldn’t mind if they release one new mode every week (at max every two weeks) until we have them though. They’re showing promise with the communication today with the Battle Pass, but the modes need to be addressed as soon as possible.
Unfortunately the world we live in has encouraged sensationalism and extremism. This is evident with the reactions so far and people just need to take a step back before going 0 to 100 over Halo. Constructive criticism is the middle ground however making ultimatums like “if Halo doesn’t have x by the time of y it will die or be dead on arrival” is just not based on reality.
Worst case scenario we have this until the first drop of this season. We need to remember we have an event starting next week and most likely content dropping throughout the season. Is it acceptable to launch without core pillars of multiplayer? No, but we can give feedback for future content which can shape the future of Halo Infinite. It’s not like we can change anything if it isn’t ready.
6 years of development and they are releasing a beta 3 weeks before the official launch. sure.
Mmm no. They didn’t listen to us during the Halo 5 beta and look where that got them.
They need to see the negative feedback and realize there is a problem, and address that problem or this will just be Halo 5 all over again.
The idea of is for the players to give enough feedback so that the game is ready when it launches on December 8th. What you are seeing people getting piss off about IS the feedback, the reason they are pissed off is that the feedback is about things that have been brought up before already and 343 still isn’t listening to it.
This is a norm in today’s game development. It allows them to add stability to the servers before the main launch.
I can see why people are a bit iffy with it but I agree with you,
It is only beta still and things do need to be ironed out (A fair few things at that),
But I am overall enjoying pvp… I remember them saying about a year or two ago pvp was aimed more towards eSports and it did out me off…
But now I’m properly playing it, it feels nice
I actually think this is a great balance so far between casual and competitive.
I believe 343i will listen and address the concerns the community has raised so far.
no. they arent. nearly every post here that i have seen has been a justifiable critique of a highly flawed product
what is very odd is going to the place people would communicate feedback and telling them to stop purely because you disagree. if seeing people point out that they recognize an attempt to sell them a more restrictive, lower quality version of something the devs have done significantly better in the past, for many times the cost bothers you so much then rather than trying to convince people to silence themselves you could simply do something other than read their posts
It’s called FEEDBACK for a reason. People are allowed to voice concerns
Dude yes!
This isn’t a Beta - it’s a smoke screen.
Halo 5 all over again
Toxicity and complacency are two sides of the same coin.
This Game Sucks
is just as bad as
Suck It Up
All feedback is useful feedback. Criticism is necessary. Licking their boots is not going to make the game any better as that sends a message that everything is OK. Its not ok as you can see from the negative responses presented here.
Faith? faith in what exactly? This type of behavior from the company is as insulting as when EA pulled that dirty crap with BF2 and the Government had to be involved.
No thank you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“beta” only weeks before the “full launch.” This isn’t a beta, this is no different from any other big company doing pre-order early access. Just a desperate attempt to scramble and kill the worst of the bugs right before launch.
There isn’t going to be some huge content drop for multiplayer on the eighth, if they had the content ready there would be no point in doing a beta build without it so close to launch. If we’re lucky they’ll haphazardly throw together a few extra gamemodes but I’m not expecting much.
Preach! They did say it was a “Beta”, so I am taking everything we see right now as just that, temporary. When the 8th comes, then I would make a decision and I am sure by then, a lot will change or at least be publicly laid out.
Im enjoy this game immensely.
