Halo 5’s online matchmaking for me and my Spartan Company has been broken for a long time now.
Every time I try to queue solo, it’ll get all the way up to “4/4 Loading Game” and then boot me back to the playlist selection screen with an error message. Then I’ll start searching again and it’ll give me a false error message, saying it can’t match me but then keeps searching and then loads up a game.
When I’m in a fireteam, it’s even worse. One of us will always get booted at the last moment (again, at the “4/4 Loading Game”) with the others in the fireteam getting put into the game and the odd man out put back at the home screen waiting. The only workaround we’ve found is that if we play a custom game together first and then move to online matchmaking, we can bypass this issue.
What’s going on here? Are others having this issue? Is 343i aware of this? I can’t remember when this first started, but it’s been a problem for at least several months now, if not longer.
