So we are staying at a hotel with no internet, we decided to bring xbox and play halo. If we go to custom games every map is not available. Gametypes are but not 1 single map at all. I knew they took spart ops away for offline players but no maps for custom games either? All we can do is play campain offline??? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a mederator out there or anyone that can help me with this issue?
ok so my help from a moderator was not to make duplicate threads? Really? Is there another moderator that can help me with this issue? Or anyone else? We are so bummed out - we didn’t know this was an online only game. I can’t find any other posts about this in the forums so if anyone can help out please do.

If I could help you with your issues,I would. Hopefully someone in the community has more experience playing custom games offline and will have an answer for you.
We are staying at Ameristar Casino resort and I don’t know why but you are able to connect with laptops but not on any game consoles. So we are just trying to figure it out on the lap top.
it’s weird, all game types are there, even all the ones we downloaded, but not one single map, not even the ones that came with the game. They are all gone. We tried turning it off and on and signing with different accounts. Nothing is saved on cloud. No other games I am having issues with exept this one. I don’t understand whay game types are there but no maps. All we can do is campain and that’s it.
I was just at a tournament this weekend and we played offline on every Xbox that was there and we did just fine. There were a few instances where the maps wouldn’t load on one Xbox but a restart fixed it. So if you haven’t tried that, restart your Xbox and see what happens.
Just seems like a big glitch with the xbox or the disc.
Maybe you can rent the game somewhere nearby?

Via cellphone most likely. Ya know you can do that as long as you can get a signal from your service provider.

tried resetting over 15 times. still shows all the game types even ones from file share, but no maps whatsoever.
can anyone try to take their console offline and see if maps show up on custom games for me please. I can’t be the only one this is happening to.

every other game, video - everything works just fine. No problems, Just no maps on this game. I just don’t get it. Is there a way to uninstall disk 2 and reinstall it? Maybe that’s it?
game types come up just fine - over 40 of them. but maps are all blank on the screen over. Nothing comes up at all to even choose from. Also the box all the way to the right keeps saying it’s trying to put match the map with the game, but there are no maps.

probably need to register your mac address we have to do so for our clients at our schools who bring in their game systems. try calling the front desk
i’m not trying to play online. I’m trying to play regular maps with family offline and forge by but no maps will show up. I don’t want it online during our stay. So I’m not trying to get it online to play. The maps are suposed to be available online and offline.
2 things I did do 1. I did download the disk 2 content from the halo game screen online because the disc was at my other house. I have disc 2 with me right now but I put it in and it says content already installed.
2nd thing I did different is reset xbox setttings because we are playing on a different resolution tv here.
could either of these 2 things have anything to do with it?
Have you tried to delete, then reinstall the Disk 2 content?
