She just graphically looks better, her face actually changed the most.
What are you talking about she looks like a blue aunt or mom right now that’s all overly protective. Yes she’s an attractive motherly figure, but her facial features and mannerisms look more at home in a library than on a Maxim magazine. Don’t worry all boners will subtract once the nagging begins.
She looks more and more human, I’d say. Which is fitting, since this new trilogy is exploring Chief’s and C’s humanity.
She has a very pretty and expressive face in this one which allow the emotions to show through. It’s going to be a great story

Cortana’s appearance has been changed to fit a more ‘human’ character.
Some people say Cortana is actually the more human of the two, MasterChief being a machine.
It’s fitting with her rampancy and all… it’s a clever idea.
I understand the advancements in technology, but in all honesty it’s uncomfortable.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this. Sexualizing the mother figure in the story just brings an unintended creepiness to the whole dynamic between those two. It’d be like if the Chief were just wearing a thong by Halo 5.
Someone looked at this game and thought it would sell more copies if boys had something to -Yoink!- to. That is not “advancement in technology”. That’s a conscious design choice to try and wring more money out of people.
1 -Yoink!- sells
2 she chooses to appear -Yoink!- as lampshaded in the extended universe

An AI can change its appearance whenever it wants, and to whatever it wants.

I’m going to agree with Fleabus. I don’t think she’s been sexualised at all, really. Her figure looks more realistic now. Her breasts don’t have that odd perkiness that they had in Halo 3. They look natural.
What stands out for me is her face, the expressions she makes and how full of emotion her eyes appear. She looks so much more human now.
I love her face, but her body… It’s so weird. Cortana isn’t supposed to look human, she’s a damn AI. I don’t see why her body needed that change. And I agree so much with the OP. I can’t take her seriously anymore. And NO, it’s not because I think she is hot. You wanna know why? Because she don’t look hot in Halo 4… She looke way better in Halo 2 or Halo 3.
And stop with that cheap “technological improvement” -Yoink-. If bungie wanted her to look like that they could have made her look like that in Halo 3 or Reach. But they didn’t because there is no damn reason. She just looks like a -Yoinking!- -Yoink–star now.
