Quick clarification, I really enjoy Halo 5 so please don’t take this as a rage post. I’m just mentioning a problem. Anyway, to the issue at hand…
C’mon now guys. I’m getting kicked from multiplayer matches every 4 games and it’s really annoying. It’s pretty much always at the end of a match too, so I don’t get to reap the spoils of my hard work.
My internet connection is absolutely fine. It works on all my other device perfectly. What’s the deal? Is anyone else having this problem? And if so can you share how you fixed it? I am not exaggerating when I say every 4 games btw.
The advice I give everyone… Hard reset the Xbox and even unplug the power cable from the back of the box for a few seconds and restart it. I do it before playing H5 pretty much everytime… A habit left over from MCC.
Apparently your not the only one. It happened to a guy I just met today when we started playing Doubles. I was so pissed off because he left me alone and I obviously lost.
I fixed it by going wired with an open NAT, although my disconnects were not as severe as yours.

When I first got Halo 5, this problem was rampant. I almost stop playing altogether. So I started researching a fix, when I came across this site and was given help by MATADOR Inc see below.

This is what I do also, and it has limited the kicking to once in a blue moon.

This was the solution when I first got into Halo 5.

Ok I’ll try that. Hard reset? How do I do that…and it’s not literally resetting everything right?

You hold down the power button till the Xbox shuts off then I even unplug the power cord from the back of the box for good measure. Also a wired internet connection to the Xbox may help as well if you can use one.

Oh ok got it. I know Ethernet is recommended but I don’t have a cord kong enough.
Thanks for the help! Unfortunately I won’t be able try the fix until next weekend but I’ll let you know if it helps.
