Every day, more things I don't understand.

It seems like every day something happens in this game that just doesn’t really make any sense. It happened yesterday, it happened today, and it will happen tomorrow. Here’s what happened today.

A team mate was meleeing me in Infinity Slayer. Not sure why, but I did it back since I was bored at my camping spot. I had a sword, and it would seem even if friendly fire is off, the sword still depletes. Why is that?

I had an ordnance drop at the ready, aimed it where I wanted it, yet it dropped in a place where I had to compromise my cover if I wanted to retrieve it. Why is that?

Another time I also had an ordnance drop in queue, but none of it was any worthwhile weapons for the current scenario so I just waited. I killed enough people for two ordnance drops, but it would seem once you already have one in queue any points you earn after do not stack until you use that drop. Why is that?

Why is that?

Video Games are incredibly hard to make and impossible to perfect with people like you complaining about 3 things which could maybe be added up together to make 1 real issue.

Ya same here, like a few day ago I noticed helpful marker to tell you were your ordnance would drop, now they seem to not appear

Don’t get your butt cheeks sweaty, friend. I only listed three problems here, you do not know how many I’ve experienced or how many there are in the game that affect it.

> A team mate was meleeing me in Infinity Slayer. Not sure why, but I did it back since I was bored at my camping spot. I had a sword, and it would seem even if friendly fire is off, the sword still depletes. Why is that?

Seems like a fine thing, I guess. You melee an entity so it registers as a use.

> I had an ordnance drop at the ready, aimed it where I wanted it, yet it dropped in a place where I had to compromise my cover if I wanted to retrieve it. Why is that?

The maps geometry could be messed up in some areas that you point to drop it at. So it moves a bit to find the best spot.

> Another time I also had an ordnance drop in queue, but none of it was any worthwhile weapons for the current scenario so I just waited. No idea, they probably thought people wouldn’t wait to stack them. Seems kind of pointless to stack, don’t you think?

You obviously don’t have the game nor do you keep up with 343i’s updates. There are many, many issues.

Stacking can introduce a new technique and is balanced, since you must wait a longer time.

But some situations you’re in just don’t require what you can drop, so you don’t drop it. This one at least expects you’d keep filling the meter up.

Maybe 343i expects people won’t be able to stack since the button to change grenades is also for ordnance when you have it, and you’ll mean to change grenades but you get ordnance? Maybe.

I have played Online shooters since quake on PC and I purchased EVERY halo the day it came out. SO, when you think I dont have the game cause Im not complaining about something. It might just be because I have been around the block a couple times and reading some of these ridiculous posts is about as fun as shooting a person with a rail gun.

The truth is it comes down to 2 things

My k/d is 1.92, and I have played almost 500 games of Infinity slayer and died to a bolt shot 31 times. So i cant decided what I would complain about if I become bad, but it cant do the bolt shot.

ALso since I have played every halo the day it came out, and also played online shooters on a pc with a DIAL UP modem. I dont get pissed at stuff in halo 4 all that much cause ive seen worse.

Games are so well made now indays i find it hard to complain about anything but how bad the community has gotten and how they have runined HALO.

Remeber there is no ranked matchmaking yet cause of cheaters, not cause they dont think people want it or they are to lazy to do it.

> Remeber there is no ranked matchmaking yet cause of cheaters, not cause they dont think people want it or they are to lazy to do it.

You really think that’s the reason?
You realize people are still cheating, correct?

Since you started with accusing me of not owning the game, I will not feel bad when I accuse you of never playing halo 3.

The cheating which I refer to is not whatever you think is happening to you in halo 4. Cause that would be impossible to cheat a ranked system which halo 4 doesnt have.

I should have clarified(you started with the accusations), I didnt know how little you know about halo.

The people would cheat the system… deranking, power ranking people and stuff like that. this totally destroys the ranking system and to answer the question yes this is the reason cause its basically impossible to stop people from people from doing some of this stuff.

  1. hit scan doesn’t differentiate if friendly fire is off or on it just knows that you swung at an entity.

2.Balance. Its so you cant cower in a corner and call in help without some risk. It gives the game some adrenaline.

3.Also balance. So you cant stack them up and call of them at once for things like shotgun and speed boost or SAW and damage boost.

  1. Reach didn’t have this problem and it was hitscan.

  2. Understandable if the incoviently placed personal ordnance was consistant. SOMETIMES it’ll go where you point, SOMETIMES it won’t. It’s blatant and un needed randomness.

  3. It’s a trade off between getting ONE thing NOW, or TWO things LATER. Both have pros and cons, it’d be balanced.

LOL! You think ordinance drops not landing where you called them in is done for balance purposes? Ha! It’s broken and needs to be fixed. Several times, I’ve called in a drop that never showed up at all, nevermind where I called it in. Very often I’ve called one down at my feet only to have it land several yards away and around a corner. Balance? I say again, Ha!

I stopped caring when you said you were camping with a sword, go play a real halo game called halo 3 and see how you do then without your ordnance drops
