Every core needs "Cadet" shaders? (Team colors)

Some cores either initially don’t have any good looking colors.

Or even thru the whole pass, and upcoming event still won’t.
Rakshasa *
Plain or bizarre that’s all rakshasa has for coatings

The main issue:
Shortly after release everyone will have the same couple coatings and look the same…

Give each core 5/6 standard team/ cadet colors

I agree with this and will continue to scream at the top of my lungs. WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO JUST FREAKING PICK OUR COLORS!

100% agreed. It’s weird that Rakshasa lacks any.

I just realized that Mark V [B] and Mark VII are the only Cores with multiple Cadet colors lol

I agree. Fracture cores also don’t have any cadet shader options. Maybe there is some lore argument for it, but to me it’s just another example of horribly limited customisation.

we had 60 shades of Colors in Halo 5. All Cores should have started off with those 60 at the very least let us Unlock half of them through gameplay.

But they started us off with 10… Just 10… We went from 60 to just 10…

The upfront price of the game went from around $50 to $0 (for those on Game Pass)… is it any wonder they’re using all means of trying to generate revenue? :person_shrugging:

Came across this idea over the months too. I’ve also been thinking they should’ve done the warframe thing and give us a basic rainbow pallet to use on just about every piece of equipment we use, then just sell the premium pallets & designs(coatings), falir, stances, ect.

The current execution is so close tho, that it also seems intentional to have missed the boat by that much.

I think by default, there should have been a ton of one color coats ( more then just what the Cadet offers us ) for all armors. They’ll have a slider on top of things that should allow how dirty the armor appears to be, from Clean, to minor dirty, to currently what most armors are now, to very dirty.

Hell, instead of a selection of colors. Just allow us to pick our color from a color wheel. This would give people a :poop: ton of colors to choose from to express themselves.

This alone would allow people to be different from one another without spending a dime. Then all the coats should have been patterns and what not with each color section allow the player to choose what color where, and can be changed at any time. Maybe add some of the more out there colors as purchasable to pick, Faze’s eye gouging Red and Black Camo comes to mind lol.

Default team colors as coating wheel
And a choice of matching or gray secondary

In a way you could definitely identify a standard coating
But you have choices over the initial unlocks for new cores.

That way not everyone wearing it looks the same for the for
First few weeks

Here’s the thing, all studios that have games on games pass get paid for that service. So 343i got paid up front by Microsoft for Infinite. 343i also got paid for everyone who actually paid for the campaign. They got their money. Microsoft just wants more.

Well it appears that cross core customization elements such as coatings and helmets will be rolling out soon, and in a recent live stream a member of the team at 343 has stated that they plan to, “Do away with the cores,” all together.

Here’s hoping that change comes sooner rather than later. I think it will be a very welcome change.

Well, with Cross-Core being planned to be a thing; I would assume that all Armor Coatings and Visors will be now Universal Skins.

This was a fairly recent livestream. I’d be shocked if the public position of the company would change so sharply. Keep in mind that when these decisions go out they’re vetted through a corporate and marketing team. This isn’t just one off-handed comment by a hopeful ex-developer.

Agreed. Cadet base colors should be an option for all armor cores.

Alternatively, armor coatings and armor pieces shouldn’t be locked to cores specifically.

Anthem did it right. Interchangeable armor pieces, full modularity as in you can pick individual textures and colors by armor piece to have truly unique spartans. This was popular enough where the reddit constantly had fashion posts on people’s unique javelins. We could have the same thing for our spartans.

YES YES YES YES YES. No way does ANYONE want to buy or do the weekly challenges for the color “red”. RED for god’s sake! 343, you lazy bones. Did you learn nothing from Halo 5?

Lol every change that Jerry was pushing for publicly has reversed course since he “left”. Cross core is nowhere to be seen. Shop prices have doubled in some cases. Daily shop items are gone. Etc etc.
