honestly i dont understand how they managed to add the legendary diffuculty before thinking hmm, maybe all those people who dont like being insta killed in their legendary vehicles by legendary npcs, maybe they want a normal difficulty, i mean i dont remember a single person saying this should be harder, from anyone ive ever met or talked to who plays this game, over half of these nearly 100 people said it is not fun half the time because you get out numbered and nearly insta killed the moment you leave cover, and warthog turrets are unusable unless your a mile away or have a driver. Why doesnt warzone firefight feel like the amazing halo reach firefight?? Because they made it way too hard, its not a fun battle with challanging round at the end its simply a one big challange that doesnt reward well enough
Legendary is pretty much just the old, singular Firefight playlist which was generally a pain in the -Yoink-. If you want something less stressful and overall just easier, play Heroic. So, really, they didn’t actually add Legendary, they just renamed the old version and added Heroic and Mythic, which are, respectively, easier and harder.
I find Normal to be easy and Legendary to be too hard. People considered Heroic to be standard difficulty of all Halo games it is the balance between easy & hard.
Heroic is normal difficulty. Has been for a while
While Heroic is the standard difficulty for Halo, if you’re not playing Legendary then, really, what’s the point?
Also if Legendary is too hard then wait until you try Mythic.
This may sound kinda strange but they are all about the same difficulty to me. It’s more of how much of a bullet sponge boss do you want, some what sponge, thirsty sponge, or insane thirsty sponge.

Huh?
The skulls on Mythic definitely make it a different game than the latter two levels. Then there is the ridiculously enhanced AI awareness and accuracy to contend with.
Jumping from Mythic down to Heroic is funny. You can generally walk around meleeing stuff without much fear of death. I rarely need to use REQs in Heroic.

Yeah the skulls in mythic add a good degree of difficulty to it. But honestly I don’t play much mythic because I was getting such bad teammates who werent using reqs it just became not worth my time. Mythic is really for players with actual teams and not us solo players.
Heroic is the standard way the game is supposed to be played, agreed, but im talking about the actual difficulty normal in the game. Technicly heroic is between medium and hard, the way halo always went was easy, normal, heroic, legendary. Not easy, heroic, legendary, making it “normal”. but when theres 5 enemy aircraft to destroy at once and they all take at least 6 hits from the base gauss cannon, that thing that used to insta kill everything, remember those good old days? Hunters back in the day was a fun, yet difficult challange. Two at once was much harder but still doable and would happen often in the games, but now they are making the enemies more numorus and beefier because of the weapon variants and not wanting the ones like norn fang to be too good, because then you get more use out of the gun = more points earned = less likely you are to spend real money when your weapons kick -Yoink- and you can earn points without feeling like grinding. how many times have you just spawned an awesome weapon only to get sniped by a damn jakal or soldier before you can even shoot it, that instant disapointment that some team mate is going to take your hard earned weapon and waste all the ammo because you spawned in a bad spot or something else dumb like that, i get horrible luck in games like this, and a slightly easier mode (where youd earn slightly less req points) where bosses arnt sponges until round 2/3 or spongy bosses dont spawn until 2 or 3 and banchee missles dont insta kill warthogs, and where the grunt mech thing doesnt require 12 scorpions and 6 wasps to kill and where the final boss is a single boss/ multipul bosses one at a time instead of 3 wardens at onece or 6 hunters at once
I havnt actually noticed much of a difference in difficulty between what we used to have and heroic either, the bosses feel like the mighty thirsty
Make an easy firefight for the teammates I get and they’d still fail it
Heroic’s easy enough for most people, I think. Any lower and there would be little to no challenge.
I wonder if this is why I hated gameplay for the campaign. I always went from normal then do legendary but this time I hated it so much I had to force my self to just finish it on normal.
Heroic is really easy, and you don’t have to really spend REQs to win (aside from the last round or if you get a bad 4th round like “kill 2 wardens/grunt goblins”) and even in the 5th round you’ll only need like 2 scorpions to win.
In terms of sponging the only ones that come to mind are the wardens/goblins and sometimes the boss banshees and mantises. But overall not that bad, elite bosses get hit with 2 overcharges from a PP you can get from a dead grunt, and then you can pop them with a headshot, the soldier bosses just need a little bit of sustained fire (maybe a little less than 2 AR clips) to pop their armor, headshot and done. Knights are pretty armored but if you aim at their side weakponts and pop them from about 1 BR clip each you can manuever around and one shot melee them from behind. Hunters are probably the spongiest out of them all, but take an SMG to their weak spots on the back (if you got a grenade you can open the weak spot up more) and they go down QUCK. The mythic hunters and enraged hunters are another story. They fire their fuel rods multiple times quickly, are more likely to bum rush and melee you, and slap grenades and ground pounders away. Just have teammates help you at that point.
I’d say be grateful we even have heroic FF. Remember how much we had to beg to get FF added in the first place? Heroic is fine, we don’t need a normal version.

normal isn’t really necessary. heroic is easy enough
all i know is that mythic is savage
ive made it to round 5 6 times, and each time we get stomped to death by pretty much any boss and the ads
super frustrating
Too many playlists. They shouldn’t dilute the playerbase anymore. Why I think its bad idea to have a separate Warzone for all the clans.

Heroic Firefight alone is easy to the point where you don’t even need REQs for anything except the stronger bosses.
I remember the Gauss Cannon destroying Ghosts in one hit. Not the same to aircraft, that’s usually a job for Rockets and Spartan Lasers. But again, there are bosses here with a health bar, I expect them to take more hits or else they are no different than regular enemies.
Hunters were extremely easy and one dimensional in the past. Bounce in circles and shoot them or grenade spam them to death. They weren’t a challenge unless you lost track of one and it manages to hit you.
The enemies are more numerous and beefier because there’s 8 of you working together. The Campaign and previous iterations of Firefight had 4 of you after the AI.
The worst part is, if we even get “Normal FIrefight”, someone is just gonna come along with this same argument and ask for Easy Firefight.
I almost always win Heroic, so having a Normal difficulty playlist would be no challenge at all. Also, nothing is more boring than absolute perfection…
