Ever been accused of cheating?

It’s happened on rare occasion in Halo 3 and Halo:Reach for me. I have an exceptionally good game every now and again, and some random idiot accuses me of cheating… but in Halo 4 alone, I swear it’s happened to me 3-4 times. Some random jerk calls me a cheater, and then he REPORTS ME. Seriously? Just happened again last night in Regicide; first good game I had in ages (got a bit rusty after Weapon Tuning), and I get called a cheater.

Oh, and then they send me a game invite, like they expect me to 1v1. How does that make sense? Why would you try to 1v1 someone you accuse of cheating, if they’re apparently just going to cheat?

People… are stupid.

“You’re a cheater!”
Translation: There’s no way you can be better than me. I go 26 and 0 in every game.

“You’re a noob!”
Translation: We had one game and I got way more points than you, thus making you not worth my time.

“1v1 me -Yoink- boy”
You got so lucky, you only beat me because your team carried you. You think you’re so good? Fight me and prove it.

Well, once after a game on Longbow I got 8 Beam Rifle kills and 11 Fuel Rod kills. Basically I was careful enough not to waste too many shots. In the end, my team lost but I kept killing a guy who was repeatedly running into the top mid building trying to kill me, but he ate a fuel rod like 7 times. Not to mention all the times I sniped him before he got in.

During the post game lobby he says “do you know you could get banned for using aimbots?”

In Reach, during a game of Grifball Dash, yes. Not in Halo 4, though.

Lol I really find the hate mail amusing, It has happened to me on H4 but way more on Halo Reach when I keep getting perfections with the sniper, people call me a cheater and get all angry and such.

I get accused of cheating all the time.

The only time I actually did it though was when I was the banker in Monopoly.

Online Gaming Dictionary

Cheater (see modder, hacker): 2. A term used by under-18 players to describe someone who beat them if they don’t know how.

People think me spawnkilling them in Grifball is cheating. So yes, I am always called a “cheater” or a “modder”

I been lucky to never got any hate messages. But people are sore losers you got to remember that.

No…

Because everyone is automatically muted!

When it’s used as a legit tactic to score a point, I don’t see any problem with it.

When it’s used just for boosting their K/D ratio though… X(

No never and I’m going to keep it that way.

About 30 mins ago, I finished a lovely dominion game. Some guy from the other team who kept walking into my pulse nades called me a cheater.
I laughed, and got off to check my CSR.
Lovely people playing this game.

All the time. After playing Halo for over a decade I’ve gotten pretty good at the game. While Reach and Halo 4 I don’t get sent too much hate mail in Halo 3 I get like 3-4 messages each session I play. Seems like Halo 3 has more hardcore players and I was in social slayer for crying out loud having people sending me rage messages.

Doing good in Halo 4 doesn’t make you a cheater. Some players don’t seem to understand this and assume the only reason you beat them is because clearly you must have cheated somehow to stay alive or beat them. No, not cheating, it’s a little word called: skill.

I have been called a cheater once for getting a showstopper on myself.

All I did was when the guy went to assassinate me I was in the process of throwing a plasma, and instead of it getting thrown into a random spot it fell behind me and blew him up and I show stopped myself lol.

Of course I’ve been called a cheater, just not in Halo 4; I spent far more time playing Halo 3. Almost everyone has been called a cheater at least once.

happened to me once. Played Team Snipers, had a good game and what happens, I get a message saying I’m getting reported for cheating and I can say goodbye to my account. I couldn’t stop laughing for like 5 minutes. So I checked the guys Bio and it was something like: “I report cheaters, so watch out”.

At the end of the day, people that can’t handle a defeat or are just too stupid will always accuse you…

Solution: Make fun of them and don’t worry about the reports.Tell them it’s just a game and that they should get over with it

I think if you’ve played a certain number of games then it has happened to you. People have no idea what cheating means anymore and think lag means cheating.

Messages?

On topic. I have been called that too. A lot.

I noticed that this is quite usual for a lot of people in FPS’s. They get beaten, they complain, because they can’t take it. One time, I had some guy in Lightning Flag, who kept running in my Auto Turret (okay, that’s cheap, I know), but he was too stupid to shoot that damn thing and earned me an Untouchable. After that he called me a cheater.

What I did? Went into theatre, made a clip and sended it to him.

In other games though, it is not that often. Racing games for example.

To be honest, yes, I cheated in some games. They were called GTA.

PS: I love to follow those people and keep trolling them a few games xD

Sometimes which is weird.

I don’t class my self as a good player and I only play for fun as I don’t care if I win or lose.
