Events, weekly rewards, et cetera should work with loot pools where items never get deleted from, but only added to. The game right now is 100% FOMO, which is a shame

It’s not a definitive answer, and you’re taking advantage of that to push a narrative like it’s gospel. At least denote that you’re not certain, and that it’s merely an interpretation:

We have no idea if “limited time event” is for the entire lifespan of this game, or within a set period of time that resets at a certain point.

Plenty of games feature “limited time events” that are on an annual rotation and some games feature “limited time events” that will never return again. Short of an actual definitive answer saying “Tac Ops/Cyber Showdown will not make another appearance, you’re SOL if you missed this” it’s very much speculation that it will/won’t return.

It’s basically Schrödinger’s Event, only time will tell at this point if you’re right.

It’s vague to begin with on 343’s part which certainly doesn’t help, and purposefully (dare I say maliciously) misleading at worst to assign your own interpretation as an official factual statement.

I called you out for passing personal interpretation as fact in the same sentence I scrutinized 343 for being vague, something 343 has gotten all too comfortable doing to the detriment of what little credibility they have left.

I have an eclectic scattering of standings on various topics and discussions, some rooted in subjectiveness, some rooted in objectiveness, some asking questions or offering perspective, and some admittedly playing devil’s advocate in some cases because it’s rather boring to look through what appears as overtly anticipated “NPC” responses to certain subject matters so I might as well spice it up a little and stoke some dialogue.

I have as much criticism of the company as I do defense, much like I have criticism of my peers as I do defense of them. I’ve agreed and disagreed with you much like you’ve agreed and disagreed with me, don’t act like I’m somehow the bad guy here. Stop seeing what you want to see, and see what is.

That works good in a loot box type system like Overwatch where your rewards are always random but I think people who spent the time earning it should get exclusivity of the rewards for the life of the game.
