Even Plasma Grenades have too much magnetism.

I’ve been very vocal in my opinion of Halo 4’s sandbox being largely broken because all of the weapons have absurd amounts of aim assistance and bullet magnetism. This is most readily apparent with the DMR due to lack of descope, but I have recently observed that even Plasma Grenades have ridiculously high magnetism.

On several occasions (in different games) I noticed Plasma Grenades I threw were sticking things they simply shouldn’t have. Throwing a grenade to the right of someone’s head, only to watch it appear stuck to his face. Throwing a grenade over a Warthog and getting a triple kill.

Thank you, 343i.

It is harder to stick someone in 4 than in Reach. They did do some nerfing.

I too have noticed this for a long while as well. I have gotten some cheap kills with it and have also been killed cheaply by it. I guess it would be ok if everyone was not spawning with plasma nades…

Don’t forget that they are the #1 weapon that a warthog gets destroyed by, that or the DMR.

Actually, it’s much less than they had in Reach, but a bit more than in Halo 3. It might be to compensate for how much slower they are thrown than in past games.

I have seen it both ways in Halo 4.

Some games I have seen my plasma grenades pass right through the players body / center mass even in Theater playback. They should have been stuck and dead. I’ve also seen some really odd things where people are stuck and “somehow” survive with shields intact after it detonates too.

Other games I have stuck enemies by bouncing plasma grenades off walls or when I missed they have backed over the grenade and it stuck to their foot. They just die in these cases.

I’m fairly sure it’s just lag related and my reality doesn’t match the hosts reality in P2P.

I disagree because I can’t stick anything, but I am constantly used as a sticky magnet. I probably die once a game from a plasma grenade.

i’ve been saying this since day one.Plasma are such a joke in this game. It’s SO easy to stick someone and beyond easier to stick a hog, ghost etc Please please please! reduce the magnetism on them.

I’ve had rarely any games where my Plasma Grenades have stuck anyone or anything.

Can you send me the address where you get yours from so I can actually stick people and vehicles with them?

um what? In Halo 4 you can throw grenades so damn fast. And instantly throw your second and even third. It’s a f&%$Ing joke. Its actually difficult to land a plasma on a warthog in Halo 3 because of the windup before you toss the grenade. Halo 4 is for little kids on ADD.

Throw speed isn’t everything.

I was playing ODST today and I was a sticking god, heck, I probably stuck more brutes today than I have sticking anything my entire time playing halo 4.

Stickies are my #2 TOD and I still miss with them a lot. I too have seen them go right through people. Mostly I see them not have enough magnetism. If I throw a stickie at you and it’s within 3 feet it should stick and kill.

Im fed up with the death-sticks. It’s one thing to die and THEN throw a nade, but another when they’re dead and a sticky just ‘pops’ out of nowhere onto me.

I personally find it harder to get a stick then in previous iterations of Halo.

the grenades take way to long to detonate too. i suck a guy and he killed me. then the nade blew up after i spawned. it takes about 5 seconds to blow up where as it should take 2 - 3.

For now on, when something stupid happens such as a flag carrier lunging at you from 2 miles away, just say “343 done -Yoinked!- the game up -_-”
