Even if they don't add Infection right away...

You can still make some cool gametypes. I hold out hope for Infection to be added eventually, of course. But nonetheless, use some creativity when Forge comes out!

I plan on making a Warthog arena/city, where you and a buddy jump in a scout hog or Mongoose and get into driving gunfights with others. Maybe you can drop teammates off at certain buildings with a turret or power weapon in order to affect the map’s dynamics. Imagine being chased by an enemy Hog, being fired upon, when you tell your passenger to get ready. You whip out some amazing defensive driving, and now you’re chasing them! Evasive maneuvers all around!

That sounds pretty awesome, and yeah we still can make some great modes, but I think everyone would also like some classics back.

Yeah, I do have some ideas for modes that involves Infection or Juggernaut, but I’d make myself busy for a month if we had to wait a little longer.

Yeah, I also have some cool idea’s I want to test out, but I would still prefer to have Infection at the start as it would be easy to start off with…

Even without quite a few great modes, I still can’t wait to make some nice Arena maps.

griffball

I need gravity hamers and a big -Yoink- ball

I’m definitely excited for what’s coming in the December update. I just hope January holds an infection game type for us. Something fun and different! Grifball or Ricochet would be cool too.

I’d like to see a playlist where I can join custom game types. What fun to randomly be placed in some weird custom game with little-to-no knowledge of game mechanics, weapons, goals, etc.

I think infection has become a staple for Halo’s game modes since Halo: Reach official-ized it into gameplay as a legitimate game-mode, and Halo 4 added a concept that didn’t really work out, but can easily be fixed. The concept of Halo 4’s infection mode being that they actually made a Flood model for the game mode was awesome, if it wasn’t for the fact that the spartan flood model made no sense to the cannon of flood. While I can live with an Infection mode where it’s just like Halo: Reach, if 343i decides to implement Infection with an actual Flood model for the infected, that flood model needs to not look like the infection model from Halo 4.

A little correction: Halo 3 had infection official before Reach. But other than that, I think the Flood being limited to swords really hurt H4’s possibilities with Infection. Gametypes like Duck Hunt and stuff could still be done with Juggernaut, I think, but some infection modes I played involved the zombies having guns. For that, I hope they take after H2A’s infected models. They look scary, but don’t have a sword literally grafted to their hand.
