I’m like a lot of you here. I’ve noticed that the skilled Halo players want the Halo 3 style game back, while the Assault Rifle rushers love every thing there is about Reach (Probably explaining why the developers basically made a game mixed of CoD and Reach 2).
Anyways, I can sit here and make a huge thread complaining about everything I hate about Halo 4 and how I want certain things to return (1-50! Lol), but the fact is that this game will most likely be better than Reach and other FPS games (excluding past Halos).
So basically what I’m saying is, no matter the trash they announce, it’s going to be hard for them to make Halo worse than CoD or Battlefield, no matter how hard it seems they’re trying.
I, personally, am looking forward to this game, hardcore. I’m ready for a new Halo.
Terrible and Halo in the same sentence does not compute!
MC is the biggest -Yoink- kicker of any shooter franchise of all time. Halo4 will be awesome no questions!
I doubt Halo 4 will be terrible. I am worried about it like most people but jumping on the auto fail bandwagon doesn’t make any sense. It’s like people want 343 to fail with Halo 4 so much. Straight up -Yoinking!- evil and downright inconsiderate.
Maybe so OP, but an amazing Halo game is 100x better than what’s on the market now. COD included. I rather have that than other Reach.
No. I don’t enjoy the kind of games CoD and BF are–military class based shooters–but that doesn’t mean they’re bad. Halo’s going the direction of being a class based shooter, and a class based Halo is no different to a class based military shooter to me. A ‘bad’ Halo might be better than CoD to you, but it just means I’ll play a different game.

Quake Live/Quake 3 comes to mind.
To be honest, why do you still care about Halo when you have Quake?
> Halo’s going the direction of being a class based shooter
Loadouts =/= class based shooter.
BF and Tf2 are good examples of class based shooters, where different people do different things. In the end, all Halo games boil down to slayers and killing the oppo is the main aim.

Because it’s what my friends play, and it’s got a pretty active tourney scene in Australia compared to Quake. I enjoyed playing it, but as time went on the game continued to go downhill. So I ditched it entirely and concentrated on playing Quake. I just thought it’d be nice to have Halo return to having some competitive merit; having 2 games worthy of play is better than 1. Growing the esports scene is a good thing for everyone too.

You should. One of the best games ever made. Quake Live is free and has an active pub scene
