Will they keep evade to halo 4? Was it a good ability or does it deserve to not show up in halo 4? Personally I think that it was the second best armor ability (after sprint).
It’s gone. And, in my opinion, it was awfully overpowered.
We have thruster pack now, it seems like it’ll be a somewhat more balanced evade.
It works pretty much exactly the same way, except it doesn’t reduce your hitbox.
No it will be gone.
I liked it too but it apparently changed the hitboxes making it awkward to get head shots.
But fear not, they are replacing it with the thruster pack which essentially the same except now it doesn’t affect the hitbox, you go into 3rd person while using it, and you can use it mid-air

This.
Evade wasn’t so much removed, as improved.
We now have the ability known as thruster pack. This does basically the same thing as evade. It gives you a quick, evasive speed boost in the direction you are moving, and can be used to get around the map fast.
However, it is a bit more balanced. For one, you only get 1 use per charge, instead of 2. This makes it more for evasive maneuvers and less about moving across the map fast. It also prevents the frustrating ability to dodge several ways that slowed gameplay in reach. It also keeps the hitbox the same for the person who uses it, unlike evade whick made the hitbox roll with the body. This was, you can’t just get an easy second wind, and those shooting somebody with thruster pack can still recover from it and possibly kill them while its in use(you still move fast enough to dodge most attacks, however it is no longer impossibly to kill somebody in the middle of a thrust).
It’s overall improved from evade in every way. It also fits spartans better than rolling around on the ground in clunky armor.
Thanks for the info

Thats what the forums are for.
It’s quite a shame that Evade is gone. I quite enjoyed it. At least it could have been retained for Forge and Custom Games, but apparently not.
good no more flying off edges
Evade was fun the first time. But when you have a Shotgun, Sword or Hammer: you’d become far too OP. I’m glad it’ll be gone for Halo 4.
Never used it, found it hindering if anything, and it didn’t make much sense as an AA. Was the devices function to make it easier to lung in the armor?
I wonder how fast you’d go with these new AA’s e.g. Thruster Pack when set the Speed up to 300% with the lowest gravity possible? Because Evade was just incredibly too fast! >:D
