I just got kick from playing a Grifball playlist that i love most about halo that Grifball was a sport in halo like no other and you 343i had kill the goose the lay the golden egg by not fixing the betray program in halo 5 for Grifball playlist. 343i why did you added the betray in Grifball. We all know most time every grifball player accident betray a team mate in the heat of the game try to win the game. I am only say this once don’t kill the the goose that lay golden egg which is the halo fan that love every thing about halo which is me and every other halo fan. So get off your lazy butt and fix the betray on Grifball so i can get back from playing Grifball and i can go back loving Halo 5 again with out b.s in the halo 5 Grifball playlist. Halo Reach Grifball, Bungie did it right by upgrade the grifball playlist with no betray kick out of game. Hell you 343i Halo 4 Grifball did right by removing the betray for Grifball. So Why in all that is holy in Grifball you added the betray to kick player from Grifball game for accident kill which 99% is by accident trying to kill the other team to win the game. Which Grifball is a only good sport in halo that is love by most halo fan world over. So fix this betray problem 343i for all Halo fan who love Halo. Don’t tell me you can’t fix this, because i believe you can make Halo Great Again by just doing the update for Halo 5 Grifball playlist to removing the betray in 24 hours no problem. And me and other the customer or i was saying earlier the Goose that lay the golden egg we pay you $50 or more to use the Halo 5 that you 343i have made so that we halo fan can have fun playing your Halo 5 game with out the b.s.
P.S Have a nice day Spartan.
Dude. Move on. You got sloppy in Grifball, stop blaming others for your mistakes and get better. It is literally as simple as that.
It’s either this, or get some -Yoink- who spawns kills his own team.
Honestly, in a sport, your not exactly supposed to swing a hammer wildly and nock your team mates in the head…
But to be fair, this is a video game and betrayals should be taken with a giggle and a colourful swear word of your choice…
So honestly I’m on the fence with this one.

So you blaming me for playing Grifball with random player that don’t know not to kick player from Grifball for accident betray in Grifball that 343i forgot to remove the betray from Grifball. >_>… Did you even play Grifball? I double dare you to play Grifball with out accident betray your random team player playing Grifball. I bet you can’t, because one of the grifball game you will get a team player who is so dumb that they will run in front of you out no where so when you try to kill the other team player you just betray your team mate dumb move, but it get better try not killing your other team mate more then 3 time, because that how many time it need to get kick for accident betray.

I hope 343i fix this problem so i don’t have to think about getting kick for accident betray my random team mate in Grifball. Just wanted to play Grifball without getting kick for… Playing Grifball. Please tell me when 343i update Halo 5 Grifball to fix this betray problem, because right i can’t play my favorite Halo playlist right now without the the betray problem remove from Grifball. I guess i could go back to Halo Reach Grifball but i like the new Halo 5 Grifball more then old Halo Reach Grifball.
I have to agree with OP. I forgave 3 betrayals one match because I know it happens. And it doesn’t have to be a bad player running in front of you. They could of taken damage from an enemy, when another enemy is in position to kill you and your teammate. You swing, kill the enemy but also deal the last little bit of damage to kill your teammate as well. You did what you had to do. It is always better to have the 2:1 in your favor.
Funny thing is next game I got booted for betrayal and was able to join the same game again after going back to matchmaking queue.
also I have not played this game in months, came back for firefight. Started to play grifball (used to grifball from previous titles). If they keep the betrayal the way it is I will be leaving again until firefight comes back.

I would take a spawn killer on my team every time over betray button. I been on Halo Reach Grifball most time if i see a spawn kill who kill me in Grifball i quit and move on to new grifball game or just let him spawn kill me but i will get a few kill back at him for betraying me. Most time grifball last just 10 to 15min game. What i don’t like is 343i temp ban for accident betray kick.

I always forgave my team mate for betrayals every grifball game i play, because i believe everyone that play grifball know accident kill happen in grifball. So i don’t used the betray button kick if they betray more then 3 time.
The penalty for betrayals should be a respawn penalty – 5 seconds for the first betrayal, 10 seconds for the second one, etc.
Once somebody has to sit through a 60 or 90 second respawn penalty, they’ll start being more careful real fast. And if they want to simply quit instead of sitting through the penalty, then congratulations – they’ve just booted themselves.
for all those who are saying " just be more careful", what I think you meant was “what is this grifball thing you speak of?”

how can you be in the fence. It’s a video game not a damn sport. It’s a gamemode. It’s a frantic gamemode where the name of the game is to transport a ball to the enemies goal whilst engaging in CLOSE QUARTERS combat.Mistakes will happen…kicking people because of accidental betrayals is just silly, was never an option in Halo 3 Griftball (because Bungie had the damn sense to listen to their community) and disheartens players. This is an easy feature to implement/disable…so why hasn’t 343i ? The griftball community have been asking for it from day 1
Just get better at griffball because obviously youre not ready yet, if you were actually good, this wouldnt be a problem
Having been in a game with an absolute ******* who kept intentionally betraying the team I am quite glad that there is betrayal booting.
There should be betrayal booting in Grifball to keep the intentional griefers out, but the threshold needs to be higher than it is right now. It was definitely lowered in the last update. And you can be more careful around teammates - I’ve been much more mindful since this became an issue. But the ban for accidental betrayals is overkill. Just take that time and play a little Warzone until they get this fixed, I guess.

Truuuue that.
It wouldn’t hurt to use your mic and apologize for accidental betrayals - a quick “I’m sorry” can go a long way in calming someone you just accidentally pulverized.

If they remove Friendly Fire from Griffball, then you would have people who hit their ball carrier in the air so no enemy can get them which spells easy wins the cheap way. Increasing the betrayal limit (probably 6 betrayals and you’re out) would solve the solution of that one dunce team killing the entire game and being hopeless to stop it
It wouldn’t be Grifball if there weren’t any accidental betrayals. Now if someone is being a jerk on purpose, ya that should be taken care of. Grifball should be killed anyways.
