First of all I don’t want this to be another Hurrdurr 343 bad post, the game is great.
But I immediately bought the Fnatic Skin because its like my exact colours I typically use and I was under the impression from everything we have been told about customisation that a “Kit” Is just a pre assembled set of gear u could quickly equip. But I immediately realised that one you buy one of these Esports Skins you get the Kit but you do not get any of the individual parts of that Kit so if I want to use this coating but use some different armour on my MKVII I can’t, If I don’t want the emblem I can’t take it off without removing the whole thing same goes for the visor.
I Hope the fact that you don’t get any individual pieces of a kit is a bug. IE if u buy the Fnatic skin you should get the Coating, Visor and Emblem individually as well as the predefined kit but as of right now you only get the kit which leaves you with no options to modify it at all. Please make this more clear in the shop if its intended I wouldn’t have bought the skin if I was aware of this.
Customization in general is really restrictive in Infinite and at this point I’m thinking that I would’ve just paid full price for the game so we could have something similar to what came before, simple but varied.
Sorry for being lazy but going to copy paste a post I made elsewhere.
I was really disappointed after buying one and then learning that it’s one complete set and you can’t use any of the different elements that make up the set independantly.
I raised a support request with both Halo Support and Xbox Support to ask if I could refund my purchase as I hadn’t used it.
Xbox just closed the support ticket without a response.
Halo Support said they can’t do it and suggested I post on the forums about it if I wanted to give feedback.
Before anyone says it, I know, buyer beware, it was my mistake, one I won’t make again but I honestly don’t think the store page clearly states the restrictions and I really think 343 could and should do a better job of communicating that via the store.
I do think if you are selling an item then you should have some responsibility (probably legal but moral shouldn’t be too much to ask for) for clearly communicating if there are restrictions as to how you can use it, especially, if the seller is unable/unwilling to offer refunds if the customer isn’t satisfied.
