What would you guys think of VIP mixed with KotH? This is what I call escort. The VIP, similarly to Halo 3, would be equipped with a pistol and an over shield. Your team would have to cover you until you got to a location.
I never got to actually play VIP often enough to remember it, but if I recall correctly you had to kill the enemy VIP and protect your own for points, correct? Now throw that in with King of the Hill, and you have Escort. Just an idea I came up with when a friend and I spoke about reversing flag sides, but keeping the cap area the same.
Another concept is a kind of “prisoner break out” thing where 3 team members have to rescue the fourth person from an enemy prison, though this would function on honor rules and in custom games only.
Just a quick thought.

There was also a koth variant where you could only score kills inside the hill at one point.
I saw the word “escort” in a video game context and I got disgusted for a moment. Now, I usually enjoy the word “escort” in a different context, but not for video games. However, after reading on, I like the idea.
