Maps layout is -Yoinking!- garbage. If you get your armory capped it’s borderline impossible to break out into the rest of the map which leads to the game being decided off of a pre 50 point cheese cap by the enemy rushing your first base

The main problems are that if you are triple capped then you have to either go through the tunnel or go through an enemy occupied armory and how close the three bases are together, particularly the spawns… If you are only holding one armory and you are defending then the attackers will spawn closer to the armory than you will. I’ve only seen a handful of matches where there was no triple cap.

There needs to be a tunnel directly from red home base to blue home base. That way you actually can flank instead of just getting slowly throttled out of the game at the choke points perfectly designed to completely -Yoink- any team that loses armory
The problem with ALL of the maps are the armories are within visual site of the middle armory. That’s a big problem. You take the middle armory and one side armory and sniping commences. You get pinned down and its hard to overcome because they can stay in the armory and attack you. They need all the maps so you can’t snipe from the middle armory. I know they won’t change it. But they should.
Although I did just have a surprisingly fun match on it last game, it is by far my least favourite warzone map, followed by March on Stormbreak.
Its just the fact that there isn’t any good engagement areas other than the bases, and they’re all clumped together, it leads to a lot of dead space, and if you get triple capped you get totally bottlenecked into your base. Not to mentioned all of the legendary bosses spawn in the same place behind the garage, giving them supreme control.
The maps just poorly designed at its core and can easily turn into a 1000-300 game,

Apex 7 allows you to leave from the back of the home base, and darkstar’s base is a lot more sheltered, so its possible to rush out fairly easily. But yes, the others tend to just turn to a camp fest.

I love dark star and noctus because of how open they are
Arc is literally just a meat grinder that can be decided in the first minute of the match

I don’t know how it’s possible for him to be wrong about which map is his favourite.
I also like A.R.C, I think you’ll find that lots of people do. If you’re struggling with it, I’d suggest more practice and finding yourself a good team.

I can’t prove it, but I’d bet money that 343 didn’t design those birds nests on Apex 7 as an alternate route when you’re being spawn camped after a triple cap.
