Error Reads: MULTIPLAYER IS NOT ALLOWED.

When I try to play halo (Halo Master Chief Collection) on live with myself and a guest (ex: gamertag and gamertag(1)) I get the following error:

“MULTIPLAYER IS NOT ALLOWED. The Multiplayer feature is blocked due to your Xbox Live settings. Please make sure you have the correct Xbox Live account and your family settings are turned off.”

Live works multiplayer with two different gamertags, but the issue is when I try to use a guest. There are no family settings on my xbox, I have set up my xbox with no barriers. I have talked with XBOX Live representatives and went through all their trouble shooting steps multiple times. They have directed me here! Can anyone help?

Guests are broken at the moment, however you CAN sign in and use a 2nd account and it works just fine.

Go to settings > blue ray & disc > blue ray > clear persistent storage like 6 or more times > hold the power button until fully reset
this helped me fix my multiplayer connection. This was a huge problem when playing the game dying light.

I haven’t tried signing in a guest. My fix was to be able to play multiplayer.

Thanks, this fixed it for me. God knows why that would work, I’ve owned the xbox for only about a week and have never even watched a bluray on it.

Being 2021 this problem appears to me from one day to the next and I already made all the recommendations that they commented and none works for me :frowning:
