I’m posting for a friend:
When starting Halo 5 on the main menu an error comes up stating Error cannot authorize user with Halo 5 Guardian services, you will be unable to access online modes.
Is there any solutions as to why this is happening???
My cousin is having this issue also. It looks the 9gb update messed up the game. I haven’t done the update yet but I’m going to see if this is the cause once I download the update.
I’ve been having the same problem.
I had to sign out of all the accounts on the Xbox, including mine, and then log back into my account. When I went back into Halo 5 and clicked the menu button - I was back in.

After a lot of searching I found out you had to sign out of xblive and sign back in. fixed the problem and wanted to post in case any one else got it but i wish it didn’t need to be done.

After logging off and on, a Halo 5 update popped up. Guess that was what causing it.
