Was having the same issue on my GTX 1060 and updated the drivers. I still get the error message but the game plays when I press continue on the error now lol
Same thing here, drivers are up to date and I still get the error. The game launches though. Also when I look in the task manager, My game only uses 2% max of my VRAM ?

people were saying that you may have to verify your game files. However when I did this it did not work, they had a similar issue the first flight, with these graphics cards. To maybe fix, You have to go into your documents and find the steam folder click on it then click>>>steamapps>>> common>>>MGS TEST … >>> Data>>>Hardware>>>GPU Nvidia . after you do this a notepad will come up, you need to find your exact graphics card in the list and if im correct your graphics card will say “not compatible” delete that and put in Low … save it close the document and open it back up, it shouldnt give you the error anymore. if that doesnt fix it its a different bug than last time. I had the same issue come up trying to play this one and it fixed it again.

I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, this helped get rid of the error and I’m able to play now.

Mine does that too in my 1060 3g it gives me an error and I press continue and it plays. MINE however, crashes after 5 minutes on menu, it just stops responding constantly and crashes. I did manage last flight, too fix the issue where the error message pops up
If you go into your files
Steam/steamapps/mgsbeta6/data(or common first but get to data)/hardware/GPU_NVIDIA
I simply renamed the GPU_NVIDIA to GPU_NVIDIA1
And the error went away and worked FLAWLESSLY
This fix does not help me anymore, game still crashes, but error goes away. Hope this does anything for someone else
