Error "Could not find a server that was suitable"

I just got Halo 5 a few days ago and was super excited to play online. I renewed my xbox live subscription in preparation to play online with my friends, but still have not been able to access any multiplayer game modes. Anytime I try to chose a game type in Arena or Warzone an error message comes up “Could not find a server that was suitable for all members of your fireteam”.

I first tried the usual things, hard reset, check network connection, reset MAC address … ect. Nothing helped. I called Xbox support. They took me through the same process. An hour later, the issue was still not resolved. They ended the session by saying they have no control over the Halo servers and cant get in contact with anyone to help resolve the problem. They suggested I take the issue up with the game developers directly by posting on the Halo Waypoint forum. They said hopefully if enough people post about the issue, the developers will see it, and get the problem resolved.

This is far from customer support. Why is there not a way to talk to someone directly? Theres no number, no chat, no way to get in contact with any of the people who are actually capable of solving problems. I understand that with a big game and lots of people playing online theres bound to be issues, so then why not have a way to get in contact with someone about how to fix these issues? Halo 5 is probably one of the biggest games to come out on Xbox One so far. With all the money it pulls in, how is there no actual support people to help customers who are having all these issues?

I really hope this problem gets resolved soon. I feel like I’ve wasted money on a game and Xbox live subscription, without being able to play online. I also hope 343 Industries will try to take care of its customers by having some actual support.

getting the same thing everytime I try to play with my gf https://account.xbox.com/en-US/screenshot/09dc2d69-d9e1-4cae-9ad6-8bb98550b906?gamertag=mane43&scid=1370999b-fca2-4c53-8ec5-73493bcb67e5

I am going through the exact same problem. I tried inviting a friend to play and then “could not find a server that was suitable for all members of your fireteam” pops up. I have restarted my xbox several times and it just will not let me play online.

i connected to rumble rockets for 2 seconds before i lost it, getting same error. First time trying today.

I’m having the same issues. Can’t play since the last update and apparently there is no solution. I really loved the game but I may have to go trade it if I can’t get to play it very soon. I was hoping to spend the holiday weekend playing but apparently that a big no no for now. Very disappointing from 343 after all the issues in MCC I was sure they were not going to let me down. I’ve contacted my ISP, made multiple hard resets, reinstalled the game (which took forever). Nothing works… But I have no issues with other games at all. I hope somebody can give us some answers.

Try opening these ports: 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3075, 3076, 3544, 4500, and 16000.This worked for me!!! After weeks of searching.
I got it to work on a wired connection, I am yet to try it on a wireless but if someone confirms this before me post it!!
