Just playing the first mission for H4 while the rest install, when I opened the blast doors the game crashed leaving a black screen and red text in the top left of the screen saying “Untracked Build, won’t upload.” not too sure whether im posting this in the right place if not the moderators please move the thread, just thought Id let you wonderful people at 343 know about it

Got this as as well. Finished Dawn and and snapped the achievements I’d unlocked to check them out while the next mission loaded. Red text message in the top left corner, but I still had audio. Had to quit and restart the software.
My guess is that there are no game files for that certain mission, like when you played sunset overdrive when downloading, you had to wait till it installs more so you could continue, but I may be wrong
I haven’t had a crash on H4, but on H2 just as you leave the tram on the first mission (right before the loading screen) I walked out & the screen froze with a buzzing sound, then my XB1 rebooted :-/ never had a game cause a hard reboot.
i was still installing the update, even though it should have installed days ago :-@ was stuck at 81 - 100% for ages.
Definitely possible, but I think that may be unlikely. The H4 campaign was the one game at 100%, that’s why I chose to play that one while waiting.
Same error here while installing the game. Did it stop happening after you finished the install and tried again?
Still installing. It will complete about 5% before reading as ‘queued’ for several minutes. I’m sure the servers are being stretched to the max right now, so it’s no biggie:)
Don’t think it’s anything to do with incomplete installation as I had it after the first halo 4 mission with the game completely installed
Haven’t played the first mission since, I went to bed while the rest of the game downloaded, dont think it was anything to do with the game not being installed though as my H4 was 100% when it happened too but yeh I had no video just sound so had to dashboard, the games just been released so there are bound to be bugs, just finding it hard to find any multiplayer games at the moment.
i got three fails in the master chief collection in an hour and a half…when someone joined my party it disconnected me and i had to restart the game, when we loaded up the second Halo 1 mission, I had a black screen and couldn’t see anything, and when i did Halo multiplayer a host migration failed, which booted me to a menu with the typical master chief collection background (the planet with asteroids) but there was nothing except your roster, and i couldn’t move to join my XBOX live friends. Please fix all of these huge bugs!

That’s exactly what I did, hopefully the error doesn’t persist

I can confirm this bug has nothing to do with the game installation as I got it after the game was 100% installed. Was playing Halo 4 story and it happened while loading up a new mission.
Also had issues with Halo 1 freezing multiple times during the story. Haven’t tried 2 or 3 so I don’t know how those will work.
I must be really lucky because I’ve had one issue with the game crashing when I tried to snap achievements, that’s it and I was playing whilst it was still installing…
