"Error authorizing user..."

It has been three days since I have been able to play Halo 5 guardians, and with no luck I have not been able to get online.
“Error authorizing user with halo 5 guardians services, you will be unable to access online modes.” “Profile sync error.”
I have been getting these messages every time I try to get online to play Halo 5 guardians, I have tried switching wifi, soft-resetting, everything, and nothing works. Usually I make a forum, and the next day Halo 5 guardians starts working again. Why not this time? I would like to have a response if the problem is going to be fixed. Thank you.

I am having the same issues for the last couple of days except yesterday and the day before I was still able to unlock achievements. I finished 3 achievements this morning, but they didn’t unlock. (I really don’t want to do another 3/4 Legendary missions and look for another 10/15 pieces of intel again.) The achievement tracker did not “recognize” anything another player and I did for the last few hours. It seems to have been an issue after the latest update.

I’ve been getting the same problems. Usually I just report it to 343i and they fix it the next day… but not this time, ive been complaining for the past six days and still nothing has happened!!!

This may or may not work, but have you tried signing into XBL via a computer? My wife’s account had issues, because she had not accepted updated terms. Also I recommend going wired. This game is very unstable on wifi. Even the best wifi.

I’m having the same issue. It just started today. I’ve restarted the system three or four times now, sometimes it will retrieve my info sometimes not. When I try to join a lobby it hangs on “Retrieving Data”. At one point it was putting me in lobbies and would get as far as starting the game only to dump me back into the main menu with an error message. How do we fix this?

i had the same issue tonight. i think that their servers had issues. my net is basically as stable as all get up but i had ‘issues with verifying user’" for about 30 minutes.

Same thing here - I made a post about it on Thursday of last week… it worked friday night
now been down all weekend.
Anyone have luck fixing it?

I don’t think it’s on our end. I believe it’s something to do with the servers, and I think 343 needs to look at these forums and see that there are a lot of players having issues and probably try to get an update fix very soon!
