What is this error? Is it something on my end or is it a server issue, what is causing it?
Same here dude. Not been able to play for the last 4 hours because of this issue. Thought it was just me
Yep, same here. Cant play the game… really 343? REALLY?
I have the same issue, why are we not getting support for this issue?
Same here, buddy got an Xbox and halo 5 and we are unable to play…haven’t been able to play online for hours now.
Not sure if you all are still having problems or not, but I found a solution that worked for me last night.
After fluffing about for 5 days with trying to get an update for Halo 5 and not being able to grab my player data (sync with the servers) I removed my profile from my Xbox One after I copied anything I thought I might loose over to an external drive formatted to be used with my Xbox.
I then went and downloaded my profile from the Xbox servers again, chucked my copy of Halo 5 in the Xbox and the update downloaded just fine. There was a smaller update that came through after a rather big one (I made the mistake of un-installing Halo 5 and re-installing it from scratch, thinking my game was the issue, so I had to grab the initial 9GB Day One update again as well as the extra 5GB update that has come out since as a large single file. If you didn’t un-install like me then you should only have an update of about 128MB) Once the updates had finished installing I was able to log on to the Halo 5 servers just fine.
It’s an error within the New Xbox Experience coding I think and not a fault on 343i end, and I think it should be listed as Major Issue No. 10 in regards to the list of the more severe problems that people have encountered since the November update. Check some of the other issues in the link below.
Anyway, to sum up, back up your games, delete your profile, then download your profile from Xbox again.
