I just can’t download it . hard reset my pc 4 times already … I really want this game.
BTW I have the anniversary update and all that . please someone that may have a work around please help
I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE… =(
I actually got the game to work once, then I changed my resolution and… oops Halo 5 forge cannot start. reinstall to fix this problem. So I re-installed like 23 times already but it still wont install.

Same thing happened to me. Now it will never fix itself. Just an endless look of install launch crash needs repair so reinstall then the cycle continued until I gave up.
Are you by chance trying to install this game to your C: drive?

yes I am trying to install it on my C: drive . but I had the same issues installing it elsewhere I think
Strange, I made a post about this on the Microsoft support forums because I get the same error code when I try to download the game to any drive aside from my C: drive.
They still haven’t replied back to me about it but perhaps if more people post it will get more attention. Right now I’m thinking that the issue is related to a bad registry somewhere.
I made a thread about this on the Microsoft support forums, might get an answer over there since it seems no officials here will have an answer.
Edit: Oops, replied to the wrong thread.

I found a solution … just install the game on a another hard drive (I used external)
UPDATE!
I uninstalled the Halo app and H5 Forge, then restored my PC to my first Windows 10 build, (before the anniversary update), restarted the computer, and then downloaded and installed the Windows 10 Anniversary all over again. The game works fine now! =D
In case anyone needs to download and install or re-install the W10 Anniversary Edition again, here it is:
Windows 10 update history

UPDATE 2:
Just go back to your 1st version of Windows 10, (restore to earlier build) then re-install the W10 Anniversary, then Halo 5 Forge should install just fine
