Alright so I am currently a forerunner going for inheritor before halo 4. Should I keep playing alot of MM/firefight. Or is co-op campaign better? If so… is it better to speed run or legit play it???
Also. If Co-Op IS better is there anyone who would want to do it with me?
My opinion:
You will achieve nothing getting to Inheritor…just haunted helmet but now many people have it…
And halo 4 is so close that when you are going to play it…your are going to forget that rank
Custom challenges are your friend! Firefight also gives a good payout, and the two combined can make for some fast cR-earning.
I usually assign one for kills and one for headshots. The amount can vary, but I usually set it to a reasonable amount that can be done in three hours. If I’m playing matchmaking, I set one for kills and medals!
if you don’t want to boost the campaign i suggest doing kills and medals custom challenges while playing grifball with friends. go 5 rounds and win and you could make 15-25k a game not including challenges.
Score attack is your friend if you don’t mind grinding.
If you set a custom challenge for 800 kills and a custom challenge for 800 medals (and then another one for 800 medals when that one fills up), you can get about 30,000 credits + whatever you get from completing the gruntpocalypse games.
Also, if you didn’t already know, you should always play gruntpocalypse with the jetpack when you’re grinding.
Activate the jetpack whenever you’re about to shoot a grunt in the head for the headshot medal plus the firebird medal. This way you’ll have 1,600 + medals by the time you have 800 kills.
Do remember, this method is extremely boring.
Also, contrary to what Rakalf said, you don’t need to be an inheritor to get the Haunted Helmet. You just need to unlock and purchase all of the other helmets + expansions and it’ll unlock itself.

You can preview the haunted helmet at Reclaimer but you can’t purchase the haunted helmet until you reach Inheritor.

Back to H3 with me until H4 comes out.
I just hit inheritor yesterday.
You got hurry up if you really want it. I started trying to hit the cap every day in the last 2 weeks. You need to at least be reclaimer before October hits.

to help your case i had heard that it originally was supposed to be buy all helmets and attachments but was changed so that you have to be an inheritor to get it. im only 11 days away from inheritor and am being fueled by the fact that i can see it but cant buy it yet.
I should get it by 10/6 if I cap everyday. You could get about 9 million credits if you capped everyday until H4 came out and hit inheritor so Novas still have a chance.
All of the ideas are pretty much suggested now, lol.
Yeah, follow what these guys said to help you reach Inheritor. However, are you sure you want to do this? When Halo 4 comes out, Reach will most likely be forgotten. No one is going to care what rank you were in Reach when Halo 4 is out.
I just want to reach Inheritor to complete the game, and for the Haunted Helmet. I don’t really want to reach Inheritor to be like “Oh, I’m better than you guys!” just for completion and helmet.

Nope. Have to buy all helmets and attachments. I can’t buy it because I don’t have all the helmets.
OP, keep grinding FF, with custom challenges, 785 kills/medals, 3 hour time limit for 20K each completion. You will get there in no time.

Short, Sweet, Simply, I like it. Which would be better? Score-Attack or regular?
Score attack. I prefer the route of 400 kills and 400 headshots. It is not the precise number to get 10000 credits but it’s nice and even. 400 headshots and 800 kills in 3 hours nets you 10000 credits each. After the first 400 headshots are done make another challenge for 400 more headshots so as to make more $$$ while working on the other 400 kills. 400 headshots and 800 kills. Turn in the headshot challenge and make another so you effectively get 30000 credits out of it. I did that myself until I maxed out Dome Inspector.
