I was wondering if I was the only one who seems to be upset that it seems Halo 5 went backwards a bit in its customization. Before we got to pick not just a helmet and armor set, but gauntlets and leg pieces as well. Also, a lot of the armor and colors were unlocked based on game achievements (i.e. beat the game on legendary, get a triple kill with the sword in free-for-all, get 200 assists, stuff like that). I don’t have that much attachment to my equipment since I don’t really “earn” it. It’s like Destiny, the equipment I get is based on some randomization when I get a REQ pack. Oh, and if you don’t want to actually play to unlock it, you can just flat out buy it. Where’s the attachment to a particular armor or emblem if you can just purchase every piece? I remember sporting, and seeing, different pieces and being like, “Damn, that guy had to get 3 sticky grenade kills while back flipping on a jump pad to get that helmet, bad -Yoink-”. I hope 343 creates some more content that allows for this. Am I the only one who feels this way?

You’re not the only one who is upset about the customization changes… But there are many, many threads about this issue already >_>
Glad to hear. Hopefully this is something they can change with an update later on. Maybe make some new items and require certain specifications to unlock them.
So i’m not the only one… I hate whole REQ system. It would be okay but if someone don’t like Warzone it’s dumb cause you basically getting nothing for your gameplay. Also i don’t think that emblem is good reward after getting for example Magnum kills. I’m tired of getting 50 needlers and 25 moongooses that I will never use, tired of getting nothing for next level. I remember when I was playing in Halo 4 and I was like “Oh I will get that nice armor but I need to kill some more guys with that” AND THAT WAS AWESOME not like now where i’m getting another commendation and I feel like it’s a joke cause i’m getting even more needlers, moongooses and warthogs…
Exactly, it made you play with all weapons. “Well, I hate the assault rifle but I still need to get 25 more kills to get that sweet helmet”.
