The gameplay demo shows the use of equipment such as the drop wall and grapple hook. I personally feel like it would add an awesome new element to the game, and I think it would be interesting to see how players would use them differently. What are your thoughts on it?
I’ve been wanting equipment to return to Halo since H3… So I’m very excited to see that equipment has indeed returned.
Yup, it’s been confirmed a while back.
You can even see some of the equipment pick ups in the screenshots of the multiplayer maps too.
I’m excited for it. Adds another layer of fun and tactics. Wether that’s a flank with a grapple or denying enemies a position with a shield. I think there’s definitely going to be some cool plays made.
Who knows what over equipment we might see. I’m gonna guess some kind of EMP similar to the Halo 3 power drain could be in the game too
ehhhh, Equipment has always been a gimmick. Nothing to ruin your 1v1 like your enemy tossing a power drain at you for a guaranteed win…
So far in Infinite we’ve only seen two, the grapple looks rather uninteresting and could break MP if not handled correctly. The drop wall looks too one-sided, it offers the enemy no counter play when used, at least H3 equipment effected both sides.
We’ll have to see
I think equipment is great in sp but I’m not a fan in mp. I hope there’s at least going to be a comp Playlist or multiple playlists that don’t have them. I also hope that the shield drain and heal don’t make it back.

This is probably the most likely scenario. I personally am not of big fan of having these things in arena style playlists, but we’ll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

I like the equipment coming back but I’m worried that they won’t be properly balanced and intelligently implemented. Like commando said, there’s gotta be counter play.
