Equip type suggestion: shoulder mounted equipment

This idea comes from the shoulder angel on the Orion armor. Bellow are 3 Equipment item ideas that are shoulder mounted each with a different function and gameplay niche.

SHOULDER ANGEL

charges: 1
function: on activation locks onto upto 3 in sight hostiles or 1 vehicle and fires a barrage of 5 EMP missiles, these do no damage but drain shields and EMP vehicles.

Guardian Laser

charges: 2
function: on activation a point defense laser will be fired from the left shoulder destroying upto 4 grenades its protection lasts 5 seconds.

Shield link

charges: 1
function: drains the users shields to charge an allies, useful for keeping an ally in the fight or for refreshing an overshield to max.

I don’t see the first one happening as all equipment does no damage tot he opponent as that’s what weapons are for. The 2nd one maybe it’s it’s more like the trophy sysfem like in CoD, the 3rd one could just be the regen shield from Reach but it’s a good alternative. Only problem is the current equipment only give plusses and the draining shield is a negative. Good ideas though, hope to see more.

Hmm working on the concepts…how about this for them.

Shoulder angel

charges: 1
function: fires a burst of 5 micro missiles with EMP effects, these embed themselves in the ground and shock anything that gets to close.

Guardian laser

charges: 1/2/4 (comp, 4v4, BTB)
function: When activated destroys all projectiles in X range of the player.

Shield link

charges: 1
function: links shields of two spartans for 10 seconds, increasing strength by 1.5x, but if one looses shields both loose shields. Instant recharges shields on activation.

1st one. Rather than missiles, maybe more if a mine?
2nd one. Sounds good.
3rd. Could be good. Could be OP. Could be too close to the overshield. It’d have to be tested.

making it a mine might be a good idea, an EMP mine would actually be quite useful on BTB, though it would remove the shoulder mounted part of the idea… oh well it could be a good mine.

yeah I might have to just scrap the 3rd idea on concept.

Problem is the whole arm thing the have going allows a small delay for deployment. Could work if it’s less deploying things and more like say thermal vision.
