Equal matches #1 PRIORITY In Halo 4

Forgetting all the microanalysis of AA’s, spread, skill level, spawns, etc…

THE ABSOLUTE #1 priority of Halo 4 should be EQUAL MATCHMAKING based on individual SKILL.

Equal matches are ESSENTIAL for competition. You CANNOT have games that have 1 good person on each team and the rest getting run over and the 1 on each team trying to carry. THIS IS COMPLETE BS.

Whatever the ‘tweaks to trueskill’ are they have got to encompass this equal MM on an individual bases.

Here here!!!

Lopsided matches also make improving ones skill harder to track

Agreed.

No, fun, functioning gameplay is priority #1.

Two teams of good players playing each other in default reach was just beyond awful.

Fun, functioning gameplay starts with even teams. And if I have to play one more game where my teamates can’t tell that YES, that’s a FRIENDLY Falcon flying around, I’m going to throw my controller. I’m seriously tired of playing a party of inheritors with nothing by warrant officers on my team.

Not to say that rank particularly means anything, but if you’re an inheritor you have to be at least decent.

If only I can thank more than once…my mouse would be raping the thank button lol XD.

I definitely agree with you.

B-but the skill based system doesn’t work! Everyone I’m being paired up with is a useless teammate! This is obviously a casual playlist, even though it’s under the “Competitive” slot of playlists in the game!

It wouldn’t be fun for you if all you are getting paired up with are people who will hand your butt on a silver platter. At the same time, it isn’t fun for the people who’s butt you will serve on a silver platter has to deal with you. One scenario is frustrating, the other is boring.

One of the biggest things Halo 2 and Halo 3 had was that the matchmaking system kept players with similar skills together, and with it came the fun times. A really good matchmaking system is needed.

@ ImittableGraph0, The matchmaking system in the “Competetive” playlist has a wider search than the Arena system. It has a priority of getting players in, even if the players’ skill levels are vastly different. It is one of the bigger issues Reach has to me.

Exactly the same problem.

Keep getting matched with noob’s who just go charging aimlessly towards the other base. I try to hang back a bit, but when I go for a sniper rifle, I get endlessly team shot by the other team while my team is DEAD!

I wish I would get matched with those of equal skill level. That would be a huge, gigantic, enormous leap compared to Reach.

Yes, but if the gamepaly isn’t fun then it doesn’t even matter who you’re matched with. No matter what, the game won’t be fun.
