I currently Grind at Episode 5 Chapter 4 The one with Hogs defending the Generators.
I dont want to grind at Chapter 1 as i may be wasting it if I play with noobs… not protecting.
So which one is the best for grinding? yet quick with high XP reward

I thought the fun in the game was about shooting the enemy, not leveling up.
Yep I know but I want to focus at the moment on maxing it so I dont need to worry later… I am weird… I dont like playing while leveling up… I just want to get it done

How much does it give?
Chapter 1, Spartan Miller, gives 5950.
I’d go with episode 3. It’s the fastest one to get full payout and you usually get it 95% of the time.
Hmmm… Chapter 4 seems fast… for 16 minutes… below… ill see later

I love grinding lvls. One of my favorite thing about this game so far.
3, everything has gone wrong. almost every time 5900.
This is not what you want, but if someone wants to grind for commendations(kills on Covie/Forerunner) then you can look at this Spreadsheet;

Only thing that sucks about it is that the creator has it only going up to Episode 3…

chapter 1 is way faster. 9 mins with a team of people who know the spawns. Make good use of the infinite rockets/sniper rifle ammo . Also the two turrets help. All of the enemies spawn in the same area.
PLus, the majority of people in matchmaking for that level already know whats up. One person on each corner of the enemy spawn area positioned beside an ammo cache. Everything dies quickly when rockets area flying every 5 seconds.

ill try it out… majority of players i played with sucks as hell… they cant even defend… im working on both sides >.> one man army per say…
Grinding for xp is not worth it, it’s better if you want the commendations. For comms chapter 1 is great for the forerunner comm while chapter 5 is excellent for grunts. Shootout on valhalla is great for banshee/hunter kills, and the first mission - episode 1 chapter 1 is great for ghosts.
However if you just play normally by yourself on legendary you can rank up your commendations for spartan ops relatively easily.
I’ve maxed Elite Oficer and Elite General is getting close to max as well. Most of mine are at expert or distinguished now anyways.
Im working on both… but at the moment covenant is 26% and Forerunner is 18%. so im going for fore today
Spartan Miller is great for xp and assassinations. I get 3-5 per game at least. And you can kill lots and lots of knights for your commendations.
All levels give 5950 if at least 7-8 minutes are played. Chapter 2 goes by really fast so you don’t always get the max XP.
Chapter 1 I’d say is really easy; just get the rockets (they keep respawning) and pwn some Prometheans, and it pretty much is always 5950.
Chapter 4 is the one I play the most, although you usually get like 5200 if you speed run; but I play in a party so we can just wait for like a minute or two.
