Entrenched spread over 4 months?

Why would it be different…
Thought i had a reason to play on reset.
An event to progress through?

Nope gotta wait 2 weeks.

Hard cap when it’s active and at least 2 weeks in between each progress week.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise. It’s exactly the same as Fracture: Tenrai.

The Fracture event is a seasonal event that you progress throughout the season.

By breaking it up and spreading it out - everyone gets the chance to complete it. You can literally miss/skip weeks and still comfortably nail it.

If the event is too short people complain they didn’t get an opportunity or time.

And by capping it at 10 items per week it helps spread it out for everyone. Stops people burning out on the event in the first week and then dreading the rest.

And it minimises the disruption for people who don’t like the event.

I quite like the approach.

I agree with 10 per week.

But having to wait till august… for the rest

That fear of missing out kicking in yet?
It’s the same set up as the Tenurai event in season 1. You gotta make 10 levels for each week or you will miss out and never be able to get it again.

Suffer. As the 343i devs behind this system want you to.
Suffer.

I disagree. If people could go past level 10 in the first week they could unlock everything and be done with the event and not miss out on anything. If at every iteration of it one could max it, then less people would miss out.

Your argument for it isn’t logical. What happens to the people that miss out on the say, first and third iteration of it. Or miss out on the last and third iteration of it? Doing it your way ensures people never get the opportunity to unlock all of it.

No one liked the spread out Tenurai event. Lots of people gave up on it and also got a bad taste for fiesta from
It.

People miss out when there’s a system in the game designed to stop them
Progressing.

And as for burnout. It’s the same amount of levels to unlock. It could be done in one week; or it could be done in one day per week over 4 months….

Easier to get it done in that first week.
Doesn’t matter how they chop it up. The same
Xp and progression is going to be required either way….

Although admirable to reduce grind, I dislike the way it has been done. These events should just be basic progression instead of this timegated nonsense.

By the time the next stage comes I’ll probably be playing other games and won’t even care about completing the set. Delaying it won’t make me appreciate the completion any more.

New players probably won’t be able to complete the set for the same reason I didn’t complete Tenrai. You still have to schedule your life around getting ten levels when they allow you to progress on it.

Next one is in June.

If you are super keen you can finish it in July.

No. Not really.

There are four weeks. You only have to do 10 per week if you miss a whole week. Otherwise it’s 7 and a bit levels per week.

Hardly onorous.

And why wouldn’t you be able to ever get it again? I can easily see them repeat events in the future. Or throwing stuff in shop bundles.

There has to be some give and take. The purpose of these events is to encourage regular and repeat play. So yes, there is something it in for 343. But you have four weeks to do it.

You almost have to go out of your way to -yoink- it up.

And yes. I work shift work. I have a family. I even regularly work interstate (with no access to my Xbox for a couple of weeks at a time).

But I manage OK.

I like it. A couple of people have liked my post about it. And from memory there were quite a few people supporting it in the Season 1 threads.

No system is going to be perfect. By spacing it out it benefits 343 as well (promoting regular visits / play), it gives the new playlist a bit of a boost by bringing players in at the same time, and it also spreads the pain a bit for those who aren’t as fond of that particular event.

Isn’t that the purpose of “events”.

The battle pass and shop are for those who want things to tick over in their own time.

Maybe I’m just used to them from playing so much Pokemon Go. They happen. You do your best to get to the ones of interest to you - but you have to let go to the one’s you can’t. And I do a lot of weekend shift work so I miss a few community days.

To be honest, I am conditioned to expect an event to run for a period of time, not to be broken up into pieces. They should remove the level limit or increase the frequency.

It’s got it positives and negatives. Eagle Strike has the same issue Tenrei did though. No extra helmet in the first set of 10. Compound that with barely any color selection for eagle strike, and everyone’s guy basically looks the same right now .

I like the format, but the actual unlocked content needs some improvements to let us be a little more unique a little more quickly

Release a new core and it takes a month or two to get something to wear in each slot.

Let alone any illusion of variety.

1 or 2 choice everyone looks the same

We’re going to be getting six events, they already confirmed this. You only have to do 30 out of 60 available challenges, to get everything on the Entrenched Battle Pass.

That’s not even counting the other events they’re going to have, like the one they opened the season with.

Season 1 had Tenrai, the Cyber, Holiday and tactical events. We do not know the other two we’re going to be ending up with, in this season.

But you genuinely don’t need to worry.

But hey!

There are LITERALLY FOUR MORE ARMOR CORES TO CHOOSE FROM.

I’m pretty sure it’s six weeks like Tenrai even though the UI shows four.

I’m fine with it being a reoccurring event, I just wish I could complete it when I wanted during the weeks it is available rather than being capped.

If you didnt see this coming, you haven’t been paying attention.
