Do we really not unlock this section of the map after completing the story?

It’s already bad enough we can’t go back and get skulls in mission areas if you missed them (which I know is meant to be fixed but is still a bummer it wasn’t there to begin with) but to show us this vast map then cut off literally an entire quarter of it really sucks. Especially when you’re working your way around it thinking you’ve still got a whole area of content to explore to be greeted by a giant soft kill barrier.
I was able to slightly get a look at the area by flying south of it then up since the entire length of the forerunner bridge is impossible to pass. Using a wasp and the chopper flying glitch I saw a whole area that easily could’ve had fobs and collectibles scattered around it but I’m gonna guess it was scrapped and walled off due to what I’m guessing was time restraints
