Yeah, we all heard about Halo 5 multiplayer will be the death of Halo and whatnot. (funny, because that is said about literally every Halo that has been released) But lets talk about the epic campaign that 343 will craft for us!
Playable characters? I think its confirmed that Master Chief and Locke are playable characters, but I think it would be soooo cool if we could play as the Arbiter in a mission! At least, as a flashback mission or something. That would be sweet.- New enemies? I hope the covenant comes back. I think they are very fun to fight, and they should have more variety of Elites to kill. There should be more stealth Elites that try to surprise and ambush you, I always felt that those were some of the tensest moments in the Halo games. I hope the Promeathans don’t return. They were a boring, predictable enemy that hardly had any variation at all. In the teaser trailer for Halo 5, we see a huge robot thingy. That would be a cool boss! - New weapons? They should get rid of the storm rifle, and put back the plasma rifle, also get rid of pulse grenades, they suck. It would be cool to see a silenced smg too.- New vehicles? They should add Promethan vehicles. Like an epic floating tank or something.- Just have EPIC BATTLES in general! Like I want to be playing as Master Chief, turn a corner and see Storm Covenant and Flood/other enemy just going to town on each other, like Halo: CE had all the time. It created a sense of the world around the player, and made you believe that you were actually fighting real enemies. There needs to be bigger, badder vehicle battles, and more intense close quarters fights. (w/ stealth elites)these are just some of my brainstormed ideas, anybody have any other opinions?
I disagree completely with your suggestion of removing the Prometheans. Sure, they weren’t the greatest enemies in Halo 4. However, that does not mean that they cannot be reworked in the future to reach their full potential. The ideas behind the Prometheans were great, but just weren’t implemented properly. Perhaps this was due to time restraints, or hardward limitations, or something else. Whatever the reason, it would be a shame to simply outright remove them. Plus, if we were to remove them, what would we be fighting? Simply Jul’s Covenant faction? Or the Flood? I would love to see the Flood return, but the Prometheans are a chance to bring some much needed fresh air into the Halo franchise. If things never change or get mixed up, we run the risk of having the series go stale.
The same goes for Pulse Grenades, or really anything else that you want removed for Halo 5. Pulse Grenades were weak, without a doubt, and need a good revamp. But to simply remove weapons that didn’t work is outright silly when there are ways to fix them.
I want to see new worlds, home worlds of some Covies and new covie tech.
I want to see worlds that are not only big but with weather, and make it a factor in gameplay.
I want to see chief and blue team really have a better relationship then in the escalation comics.
I want to see multiple missions at the same time frame but from different perspectives.

Exactly!!! I forgot! Blue team NEEDS to be in Halo 5… If not I will cry.

Meh, I guess I agree with keeping the Prometheans instead of tossing them. I just feel like they didn’t have much of a personality when fighting them. It wasn’t fun. As opposed to punching an Elite in the face, he would roar and take a swipe at you with his plasma rifle! I know that the knights are pretty much devoid of having a personality… but there should be a way to implement some form of excitement while fighting them.
I would love to see Blue Team in action with some epic close quarter combat sequences like what we see in The Package. Something that showcases them as the greatest warriors mankind has ever seen and how they seemingly coordinate together with a telepathic sense of teamwork, movement and hyper lethality.
Story starts Locke giving a brief summary of the events of the original trilogy and provides an up to date introduction of the arbiter.
They start on a phantom to aid some elites loyal to the Arbiter from some warlord. Mission1
We then play as locke in a level that introduces the current state of the universe as pretaining to what is left if the covenant and this serves also as the tutorial level. Mission ends saving the elites and defeating the warlord. We find the warlord is working with jul and that he’s on his way. Mission 2
Again playing as Locke, he talks to the arbiter about MC and gives a brief summary of H4 w/SpOps and “The next 72 hrs” arc from the comics. Arby and Locke head back to Arby’s base of opperations to talk more. assassins of Jul’s and prometheans appear to kill both chief and Locke. We then learn of Lockes mission to find chief. He witholds knowledge of prometheans from Arbiter. Jul arrives in War Sphinx to greet arby. Mission 3
Playing as Chief Now. Time set before Locke arrives. Chief and Blue team have a heart to heart about Oni. They go seprate ways as blue team cant agree to go against the oni in any way. Chief seeks to undo the damage done to him and others by Oni using his memories of Cortana’s words to him as fuel. He seeks the Arbiter to provide for an aliby for his actions and as an allie. Mission is spent fighting off war mongers, alien animals and those that he believes are apart of the insurrection. Mission 4
Chief level. He fights through waves of Yonet, Jackals, and insurrectionist. chief find out theyre oni and are trying to keep the eliets homeworld in civil war by creating the conflicts through terrorism and supplying warlords with arms. The intent being to keep them off balance making them less a threat to the unsc. Chief intends on revieling this truth and goes about attempting to stop them. But realizes theres only one person he can trust with this. The oni brand chief a traitor and send locke with him believing hes simply bringing him back for questioning. Mission 5
Arby level. Locke and arby escape jul and are on the counter attack. They fight againts CStoirm and the prometheans. Locke spots Halsey and notes her as being listed both a war criminal and traitor to the unsc. He goes after her seperaring from arby. Arby continues his fight with jul leading to him disabling juls war spinx in a boss fight. Ends with jul and Arby to 1v1. Mission 6
Locke chases down Halsey but is stopped by new prometheans and spartan defectors. They tell locke not everything is as it seems and many from the older spartan generations side with halsey some more openly than others. The chief leaving being the call to action for them. Halsey runs off locke left to battle spartans, prometheans, and C Storm while chasing her down again. After a brief talk about what a halo is and the activation of instilations 05 and 04b that it served as a becon for a greater threat. Halsey leaves returning locke to the battle. Mission 7
Arby fights jul in cutscene leading to his retreat. He rejoins locke and they begin to regroup when locke picks up chief’s iff. Arby forces knowledge of the prometheans out of locke. Then noticing the bullet denting his armor pressures locke for all he knows. Locke agrees to answer on the way to chief. They arrive at a run down mining facility and notice the presences of more covie fringe species. Arby introduces the yonet and other species as being more along the lines of private servants to the covenant and notes their lack of combat ability. They then notice Jul is back and seams to be looking for a forerunner artifact. This is the halo sytle steal mission. Mission ends when you find chief with the artifact. Mission 8
Chief tells locke about oni and that the yonet were hired by oni to find a forerunner weapon and give it to a warlord to fight against the arbiter. He then proves this by playing a recording. Arby and crew turn on locke, at the same time Halsey and Jul appear. Turns out chief had sought Halsey and in diing so allied with Jul to put down Oni as it is their shared enemy. Locke fights through all to escape as all have allied against him. As all seemed lost he escapes the mind to find the planet under attack. Mission 9
Locke mission. Arby notes lockes combat ability and offers him prolonged execution should he assist in defence of the planet. Halsey explains that the halos had caught the attention of some alien race from outside our galaxy. First part spent in a space battle against this foe. It is revield to not be of forerunner origin and seamingly alive. The enemy is originating from a single ship that seams indistructable. Chief figures they should enter the ship and disable it as external attacks are ineffective with jul’s forerunner weapons being the only to damage it. Halsey uses artifact that summons a forerunner tank to blow a whole into the ship with aided frie from Jul. Upon an opening created by Jul and Halsey, Locke & Chief enter the ship. The fight against precursers getting hints as to where to go as they search ODST Style. Ends when the find it. Mission 10
Chief mission. Precurser boss appears telling them about the precurser-forerunner war. Since they are the reclaimers and of the forerunner legacy they are subject to their revenge. Chief and lock firefight through waves of guards but are forced out of the engine room. They fight the boss while running away. They kill the boss and destroy the power core. In a throw back to CE as locke looks for a way to escape chief grabs him and tosses him into an escape pod. They then escape back to the planet and are greated by bith Jul and Arby along with Halsey. Jul proposes to Locke alliance to him as a way to escape death. The SoS and CStorm have allied for the moment but it is clear it is against the Oni. The precurser scout ship was but the first. The precuser sought the end of all life in the milky way and have returned to do so. As locke states his stance we see more precurser ships arrive to each of the home worlds of the former covenant and at earth. Game ends with locke dropping a Smj Johnson level speach about doing the right thing.
Covenant are getting boring, and fighting them non stop in Halo Reach was their send off. Covenant in Halo 4 felt milked, plus they lost the war.
Prometheans are stronger, and more challenging
They require more thinking and are like a puzzle to take down “hmm should I kill the watcher first to get rid of the knight’s shields? or maybe toss a grenade at the watcher, kill the watcher while it catches it, then the grenade will drop directly on top of the knight”
their visual designs are better, and guns are fresh
the Prometheans should return in Halo 5, with new members, more weapons, and vehicles.

meh, not enough stuff happens.
Plus there should be stuff revolving around chief’s mental state, and his emotions, who he is as a character.
This game should also delve into the morality about being a human. Just like how Halo 4 delt with the concept of man vs machien.
It would be cool if the promethean vehicles were just of pieces on the ground then when you press the action button a seat emerges from the pieces then create the rest of the vehicle. Just the way I think how promethean vehicles would work
