This is the response i get in this forum support when I as banned for 22 seconds. I was disconnected from 3 games on one particular day and this caused “DNFs” to show up on my gamer report. These people here have no empathy because they assumed that I was a quitter.
So, this thread is not entirely about banning but the issues with the halo servers.
Tested: when I play Halo5 with players from another region I get lag, I was disconnected and I got the DNF to show on my report. - - Tested 2: playing Battlefield 4 on ps4 with players from another region, no lag, no disconnect, NO BAN!This is proof that nothing is wrong with my internet, 343 I deserve an apology; because I was more humiliated from your non-empethetic support forum than the 22 second ban itself.
Is this why you lock regions, because the Halo5 servers are very unstable?
why do you continue to ban people and blame them for bad internet when in fact you have poor regional server quality in halo5. some people may quit out but you don’t have a way to determine if they quit or if you gave them a poor server to play on; so you just sling the ban hammer anyway is unjustifiable, right?
And for those who can’t comprehend this message, Im not fussing about a 22 second ban. it is much more serious than that. it is the fact of being banned for no fault of my own

Why is he trying to get banned is the question? You said yourself you played with players from other countries to see if you would lag out. Would that not get you banned sooner?

Because people assume he’s a quitter when the servers are at fault. I have the same issue. Every game with more than 8 players has game breaking lag for me… but guess what, its only Halo 5 that has that issue. Destiny doesn’t, CoD doesn’t, none of my streaming services(Netflix, Crunchyroll, FUNimation) have lag. It’s only Halo 5.
Im a European gamer who constantly has to play on US servers in order to actually play, and I have maybe disconnected twice in my entire Halo career.
I think your blowing the issue up with claiming you were “humiliated” and emotionally distressed over your ordeal. Your teammates were screwed whether it was your fault or not and they deserve justice. Accept it and move on.

so you are telling me that since you don’t have problems disconnecting, you automatically assume the problems don’t exists? you have no empathy because you don’t realize every situation is different.
And, you are telling me I deserve to be punished by 343i due to their server problems for the sake of the teammates? what a load of -Yoink-, im not taking you seriously.
and whether you are from the UK or just Yoinking! me in-order to pretend a point, Im still not taking you seriously based on your response. and the same thing goes for anyone else who refuse to acknowledge these real issues with Halo servers.
Halo5 makes a mistake, you point the finger at me -Yoink- off!
You do understand that the online structure for Halo and BF4 as well as Xbox One and PS4 are completely different, right? If you know what the problem is, playing with certain people, causing your DCs stop playing with them.

You claim the game is the root of your connection difficulties, yet I am playing on servers thousands of miles away and my lag is tolerable. Of course there is latancy.
So honestly i find it hard to see the game being at fault. Are you perhaps playing with players from distant regions?
You lots connection to the server, the server was able to maintain all other players in the game, yet only you were dropped. Do you honestly not believe that your connection could be the issue? Perhaps your NAT settings need adjustment.

It takes a really smart person to know that you don’t need to be -Yoinking!- around with NAT settings on your router in-order to get clear game quality.
if a particular game is not functioning properly then that is the poor quality provided from the source. Tampering with Nat will make things worse in the long run. And I wish someone from 343 would come here to refute me on that, but they will not.
btw my xbox states “Its all good” nat is open. If it’s closed let it stay closed.

You clearly don’t get it.
The options are open, moderate and strict. You want it to be open for the best experience. This applies for all console multiplayer.

That’s not how it works. That’s not how any of this works.

no you clearly don’t get it. This moderate to strict to open you speak of refers to the nat. These settings are all programed automatically within the xbox one console. going to your home router and opening up random ports to make your home network unsecure is not a smart option. next time do your research and get the facts before you try to belittle someone else with your untrustworthy false information.

You’re the one being extremely hostile, and attempting to belittle everyone who disagrees. I’d say the rest of us are all being very reasonable.
Even after all that, you stated your NAT type is open. That is good!
Now when you play Halo, are you playing alone or with friends? Do these friends live further away?

You’re right. As much as we’re frustrated by people who leave in the middle of a game, we’re too quick to jump to the conclusion that they willingly left the game. And whenever someone here posts that they got banned when they get disconnected from the servers, so many people just jump on their throat and accuse them of lying as soon as they see the letters “DNF.”
