In Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, i had my multiplayer experience with english voices because i have my console’s language set to english.
Now i read a Gamepro Germany review though that stated that this would no longer work.
So my obvious question is… WHY??
I mainly play with people from the UK and the States, so the english multiplayer voiceovers always helped me in a way.
And to be honest, i simply prefer them.
So why was that feature removed? And will it be added back into the game at some point?
They probably want to appeal to the whole ‘integration’ fans who want to have little Jose be able to play with all the other Americans, so they don’t let language barriers ban player from matchmaking with others.

Right. And my copies of Halo 3 and Halo: Reach were both german too.
But they had the feature that when you had your console’s language set to english, the multiplayer voiceovers were english too. The campaign still wasn’t - that was german voiceovers with english subtitles - but the multiplayer had the classic english voice.
And i’m wondering why they’d remove this simple feature.
e: And to the poster above, this isn’t about “who” i play with. It’s only about in what language the announcer speaks in the multiplayer.

So what happens if it is in german? Do you still play international people, or germans?

I’ll most likely still play with international people. But as i said, that’s not what this is about. It’s only about the language of the announcer. Not about where the people i play with are from.
For the english People: Don’t worry about that little german paragraph, I only criticize the terrible German announcer and 343’s marketing… For details: Learn German

I’ve seen the languages for other games as free downloads on the marketplace. 343 might be doing this to save space on the disc but I don’t know.
Finnish copies have all the text in multiplayer changed into Finnish too, I can’t -Yoinking!- stand it. Luckily the announcer is still in English, because we don’t really dub stuff into Finnish language, unless it’s kid’s movies.
But killfeed and other text in multiplayer is in Finnish, I don’t understand why, unlike some countries, our TV series, games and other entertainment isn’t dubbed to Finnish, because we are capable of understanding English language.
Was it really that hard to include a “Choose Language” in options? I want “Running Riot” text to appear when I get one, not “Melkoinen Murhaaja” (Which is “Quite a Murderer” in English…)

Exactly, and the same counts for me, just with the german language and the announcer voice too.
And on why not get an english copy. Because i’m already spending ~ €400 on the Limited Edition and the Console Bundle.
