The Engineers were creations of the Forerunners, mechanical facsimiles of biological systems, a step up from Sentinals in complexity and a great leap ahead in sophistication. For the time being, let’s assume the world John-117 is being pulled into in Halo 4 is Forerunner, and is also of great importance. Wouldn’t it make sense for Engineers to return?
Thoughts? What do you think their roles in gameplay could be? Story?
I definitely agree that they should come back, it would only make sense because it’s a Forerunner world. I think they should help John by opening doors and stuff, maybe even by giving you overshields.
And maybe they can replace monitor in forge mode.
I’d like to see them as friendly, after odst i can’t kill them on reach.
I want one as a pet 
anyway yeah they should come back, but have a cutscene where they find out they are actually foruner so people dont get confused. and it would be cool to be one in forge world

It is not a forunner homeworld Master Chief is headed to. I believe Frank confirmed that (Dont quote me on that though).

To late but yeah i think he also said it wasn’t onyx aswell so unless their lying to keep people guessing we wont know untill much later/
