Energy Sword Clashes

This may be small and not worth anyones time but I’ll say this anyway. In Halo 4, when you clash an energy sword with another player who has one would you want a feature like in gears of war how they have to button mash to win a clash?

No. Halo is a FPS, not Street Fighter.

Just put in Halo 3’s system.

Maybe a counter battle instead, you use the Dpad which has moves you can use. a certain button combination counters another, you would have to be smart and it would promote skill in battle.

nah id more like a collision bounce back from the frequencys hitting. like ur character bounces back a a couple feet.

I respectfully disagree OP.

I figured I ge this feedback. Anyways this was just a small suggestion I thought would work because gears did it and it didn’t mess with the whole balance of the shooter and felt that sword duels could use a little flare. Just my opinion anyways.

I’d prefer Halo 3’s way of doing things.

Instead, it should lock the two players in an epic camera-circling animation.

That could be cool.

Ok, have you ever played Street Fighter? Button Mashing accomplishes nothing in it.

Anyway, a Sword Clash should work similarly to Halo 3’s.

I agree it needs more depth, but not in this way.

Halo 3s had a little bit of depth, although more is needed. Reachs always ended in both players dieing for me.

And I didn’t think it over very well. See, how would it end? Do they both just agree to wait until their partners show up to interfere? Or, whoever “gives up first” instantly gets knocked back, and then it starts up again if one fails to deliver the fatal blow?

You would button mash the x or maybe b button and the winner would stab the loser.
