i have a new idea for halo 4 guys, you may want to sit down for this, it will blow your mind guys, k, listen:
ENERGY SWORD BOOTS
so, we have swords for your hands, but what about you’re feet? i think it would be super cool if there was a new weapon called energy sword boots. they would work, guys listen to this k, they would work so when you equipped them you would strap 2 energy swords to you’re feet, but you could also hold and shoot a weapon at the same time. if you jumped on a guys head, guys, it would cut them in half and kill them instantly, like mario k.
i think this would be real cool what do you guys guys think?

I think it’s a little overpowered. And weapons are usually only to be held with the hand in a FPS, this is why it is called a ‘First Person Shooter’. Not a bad idea but I don’t think it would work in Halo.

This would work for a game along the lines of Skyrim or Final Fantasy; the latter of which not so much. No offense meant, but FPS’s and RPG’s are separate genre’s for the sake of several useful equip-able items versus simplistic, non-combat effective equips.
This would be a reason why Reach took on some backlash: Armor effects, no matter how cool they were, changed combat (along with armor abilities). Using a flaming helmet gave away a hiding spot very quickly, and so did Inclement Weather. They had an inadvertent effect, unlike what was intended as them to be customizable options to make a character look original. Don’t get me started on Armor Abilities and combat (though I’m still a fan of them).
Other than that, this would be great. An FPSRPG is not unheard of.

I’d much rather have HammerBoots.
Every time your foot touches the ground, it creates a GravityHammer explosion. It would be kinda unbalanced, so we would have the explosion to be 4X the size and 6x the damage of regular GravityHammer.
Oh! And it would a default feature for everyone.
Imagine the friggin awesomeness!
