I believe that Grim is referring to the fact that the character is not Thel but a female Sangheili, A FEMALE!!! =) =) =) =)
EDIT= Actually the weapon resembles a glaive more than a spear.

Where is it confirmed that Arbiter looking Elite is female? Did I miss something in the Canon Fodder?
I wonder if the material the staff is made of is impervious to the energy swords blade. Kinda like how the electric staffs wielded by General Grievious’s body guards were invulnerable to the lightsaber’s blade.
Now they just need to give 300 Spartans energy spears and energy shield.
