enemy weapon and vehicle use

i’ve noticed that in many cases in the campaigns, Firefights and Spartan Ops that the enemy doesn’t make use of the weapons or vehicles that they “Capture” and i find that to be at times both a blessing and a bit of a curse.

while i’m glad that the enemy does not use the scorpion tank, i’m also kind of disappointed that they won’t, it would give them a bit of an edge that logically they should try to take.

for example during the Spartan Ops where the covies have a number of tanks and other weapons “stashed” i have to ask why they don’t use them.

I hope that in Halo 5 we will get to see them actually use said weapons and vehicles at least once in a while, and it would help with some of the commendations or what ever they will be called, for destroying said vehicle.

any thoughts on this?

I think if I had to choose, I would really take one additional campaign mission over a whole spartan ops. season.

I also dont get why they removed Firefight. I want firefight back. With flood survival mode.

They used rockets, snipers, DMRs and even Warthogs in reach.

Why not?

The reason for this is that the Covenant have a rule against using human technology. It may not apply as much with these new Covenant, since they’re a lot less bound to the old ways and their leader has his own plans.

ive seen covies from Halo up to reach get on the back of a warthog and use a human turret, with the exception of Reach FF i dont recall them using human weapons unless you give them the weapons like in Halo 2 or 3.

so while the lore may say they wont normally use them, they do, actually in the halo book … the flood? when they capture captain keys one uses a human gun to kill a unsc officer then mocks the fact that its a projectile weapon.

Covies with rifles in Reach where Heretics. All covies in 4 are Religious Fundamentalists. (the polar opposite.)

However, I agree with you that diverse enemy encounters and smarter npc is a good thing.

thats another thing, i HATE how legendary is for the most part in not just Halo but other games where instead of making the AI smarter or adding twice as many enemy, they just give them a stat boost, why cant we just face more enemies, have another tank, banshee or what have you spawn and attack you.
