I think these outlines ruin the game. I catch myself running by enemies thinking they are my teammate(same color armor), and at other times, I can see them very clearly down scope. I like that they were trying to allow for more customization, but for a FPS it’s a few steps backwards. I think red vs blue is a better approach as it is less confusing and a Halo staple. I remember titanfall 2 started doing this and end up removing it indefinitely.

Yeah, this is the one thing I’m not a fan of. I get a teammate wearing red armor and I think they’re an enemy for a split second. Same thing for blue armored enemies. It went away after a few games to get used to it, but I doubt every single person will be able to adjust to it. Feel like everyone is going to run blue armor just to try to get that split second advantage on people who aren’t used to it/can’t adjust to it.

I’m with you on this, I personally don’t like it, I want to play around with the color outline options before I decide for sure though.
Part of the problem is that the bots all spawn with blue armor instead of random colors, this is training your mind to say blue bad when you see it in game, and you end up shooting at friends for a second
I am on the same boat. I do not think it is inherently the lack of team colors, but rather poor arrows indicating friend from foe. If I could load up a modded game of Reach where everyone is their respective custom colors, I am sure I could still determine friend from foe in that game from the arrows alone.
