While keeping the enemy team at their home base we ended up not having only a hunter elder stolen from our tanks and warthogs, but also Warden Eternal. We did literally 99% of the damage, and enemy takes the kill.
How the heck is it fair that we waste reqs on bosses, but the enemy team fires one single BR shot and gets the points while we don’t get anything? It’s rude, it’s unsporting, and it’s cheap.
This is getting old and I am very upset. Fix this now 343.
It may be cheap, but it is the way it works right now, and you would do the same thing. If the game was on the line and killing the Warden gets either team the victory, and you know the other team has done all of the damage with power weapons and vehicles and all, are you really just going to watch them kill him when you are in range to try and take a shot? No.

Seriously? So in football do you expect a player to hand the ball back to the opposing quarterback when he catches an interception?
I hate the current boss mechanics. It is impossible to guard every corner of the map and even I have stolen a lot of boss kills by simply waiting for the last second and firing a rail gun shot into the boss and stealing all the points even though my team did little to no damage to it. There are games where one team simply wins because they got the final BR shot onto a few bosses from across the map. I think the points should be distributed based on damage dealt to the boss so if your team did 75% of the damage to the boss then you get 75% of the points. It still encourages both teams to fight aggressively for bosses to earn the most points and it is more fair to everyone involved.

Its not supposed to be easy! That’s the point!
If you can get the last shot, then you have a good strategy. If you don’t want the enemy to “steal” your kill, stop enemy Spartans form getting close to the boss.

That is the problem though. You don’t have to be close to the boss to steal the kill. You can be on the other side of map from them waiting at your spawn with a power weapon in hand and just pop the boss at the last second and take all the points. I would agree with you if getting “close” was the only problem but its not.

Alright smart alec, I was hoping you would know what I meant by “stop them from getting close”
Stop them from killing the boss, stop them from putting damage on him, do all you can to stop them from taking the kill. Its a very simple strategy.
343 has stood their ground on this one, and you just have to accept the meta of trying to steal everything on the map for your team. Once you accept it like I did, you’ll enjoy Warzone more.

Exactly, just play the game and be the solution to the problems you have

The title of your post says “Our boss” like you have complete ownership of that particular AI spawn. They are there for any one to kill and take credit for. And killing means the death blow or coup de grâce.
How are they your Boss kills if the enemy team killed them?
It doesn’t say Blue Team Hunter Elder or Red Team Warden Eternal. They are fair game for anyone. Control the map better or co-ordinate your team for more efficient boss kills.
