Ive discussed this with my friends about how unpleasant the infinite shield pop effect is compared to older games with mor of an energy dispersal effect.
the effect feels a little ott in terms of telegraphing the effect given past games have done it in a much more aesthetically pleasing and less obnoxious way.
Id like to see a return to somthign more like previous titles of more of a quick flash of energy a la reach/h3 rather than a full body mesh expanding, personal preference i know but im curious to see if othhers share a similar opinion (at least give me the option to tone it down in the settings

you are not alone alot of people didnt care for the shielding and armor outlines either including myself hopefully they will smooth things out if they havent already in the current build they have. I noticed some colors not properly displaying either some of my teammates were GREEN instead of blue LOL.
outlines are a separate problem imo, with their own set of issues, while i do have critiques of the outline system i find the style of the shield pop when you take down enemy shields a real eyesore and way too obnoxious, is this somthign peopel take issue with as well as the outline system? tried to find a thread of the shield popping but to no avail

I think they’re one in the same as the outlines also make it hard to tell if someones shields are broken or weak for me. Also hard to tell if they have OS
Yeah I must admit if I haven’t popped the shield myself I’m having a hard time determining it. Even then sometimes it just gets lost in the noise.
It’s the redness every time the player is hit, clouds the screen up a bit. I’d personally turn that off if I could.
I dont mind the outline system though across the map you cant tell who is who maybe the draw distance of that can be increased to we can tell, the shield pop i havent noticed, mainly the draw distance on the outlines

ahh right i see what you mean, yea post pop its harder to tell, less of the electrical arcing is visible/ present didnt think about it but this is very true, shields almost need to be a separate colour to the outline to remedy this potentially

Yeah, totally agree, I hope they will change that
