I am having issues completing the “Mongoose Destroyer”. As hardly anybody uses mongooses in Arena or Warzone, and if they are they only use it for faster transportation. Never for anything else. Am at level 2 at 6/10 and I have been nerd playing Warzone for months now. I have yet to even complete level 2. I know I am not the only person having issues with this as well. This commendation is nearly painful to unlock, not because it’s hard but because nobody uses mongoose.
How could we make this a bit easier to complete this commendation is to add Enemy or Stolen Mongooses to Warzone and Warzone Firefight. Kinda like they have Stolen Warthogs and Mantises. For a Round one on firefight and 25 point objectives, have soldiers on Mongooses. It doesn’t matter what kinda and have the Soldier on the passenger seat Throw pulse grenades and have a Barber Lance, Song of Peace or something to make it challenging.
I think this would be great addition to Warzone because even though we have lots of bosses already we need more spice to it. Having an enemy Oni Gungoose with a Dying Star or Razer’s Edge on the passenger seat would be something new.
I know i’ll get a lot of people saying “No, than it will be to easy to complete it”. But who cares, Grunt Slayer is easy to get. Jackle Slayer is easy to get. Crawler Slayer, Soldier Slayer, Ghost Slayer, my point is these people are just going to argue this thread because they don’t agree with anything 343 does.
Got any Idea’s to make what I just said better? Do you agree or disagree with this thread? Your feedback would be nice.
It’s one of the hardest commendations to come by I’m almost at lvl 150 have played over a month in time on war zone and am just at 4/5 it’s brutal
Yes,please.Would make that commendation alot easier.But I think at this point,its unlikely that they will add that.

i have play this and it doesnt count everytime, idk why.
When i play WZ i always go around in a moongose to help other to get this medal,
lately i use it more cuase i want the moongose killer comm, at the beggining its a pretty good way to get some kills and push for the enemy base, after lvl reqs 4 it gets harder
I’d be cool with this especially since it’d add variety to the current pool of AI bosses in WZ. Just checked mine and I’m at 4/5 for the commendation and I have no idea how I got there lol. People often recommend Mongoose Sumo in Action Sack to complete this.
This one is a pain to get for sure.

Definitely agree with the idea.
I’m glad I got it when the game was still popular. My advice would be to play BTB. The Mongoose still gets decent use in objective games.
Good to see that this thread is getting a lot of support, and ty for the suggestions for the commendation. Sumo Mongooses isn’t easy for the Commendation as you need to swap to the passenger seat than shot the guy as he is about to die. People in Big Team Battle use Warthogs or ghosts. Never do they use mongooses.

This. Castle Wars is the best and fastest way to get the Mongoose Destroyer commendation.
It should come back in rotation fairly soon.
Mongoose Destroyer is undoubtedly a royal pain in the -Yoink-, but it can be accomplished. Mongoose Sumo and Prop Hunt can prove surprisingly good for completing the commendation, though it’s still tedious.
I have the same frustration with the grunt goblin, i have killed atleast 10 and only 1 has registered. the Warden also took forever since it also didnt acknowledge the kills but rather as an epic boss

You have/had to attack them before they fell. I would melee them

I used to have an issue with this those two commendations as well. Until I realized mine and other peoples mistakes. Even though it says “Boss Takedown” or “You killed Warden Eternal” You have to ensure that you get the landing shot. Like the last person to successfully hurt it will get the kill. My suggestion is to play Heroic Fightfight. Use scorpion (Not Oni as the missiles bounce them), Wraiths (Ultra does most damage), Rocket Launchers, Railguns. Something that does large amounts off damage in one hit. And you will do more damage if you hit it on it’s Energy Void on it’s back.
