Hello Halo Fans! There have been a few issues with the enemies of Halo 4 that need to be addressed. Mainly focused are the Prometheans. For example:
- The Crawlers have a bizarre hit box. Often times, one will perform a melee lung, yet nothing will happen to the target. Second, headshots are often not identified. Shooting them square in the face will either destroy them, or just stagger them.
- Knights have unlimited teleporting. During multiple different encounters, a knight will start a game of whack-a-mole. Whether this is intentional or not, it is not fun in the least, especially when other enemies are around.
- Watchers have odd hit boxes. Shooting them will either end up being a hit or a miss, without any discernible factors.
- Commendations, especially those regarding Forerunners, seems disproportional. For example, I have achieved the “Crawler Prime Mastery” before I even got Crawler up to adept. On top of that Crawler snipers, one of the rarest enemies, is expected to be found like a regular crawler. This leads to having to repeatedly play one event over and over again just to level up a single commendation.

-more of a player issue. It’s actually pretty easy to tell if you got a headshot on a Crawler. Though I admit a Promethean Birthday Party skull would be awesome (especially if it included Knights and Watchers).
-scripted. It’s very rare. In most cases, Knight teleport is very easy to anticipate, as long as you’re not charging at one as he teleports.
-agreed. It’s especially annoying how tiny their heads are. It’s usually a 3sk with DMR or Light Rifle if you headshot them… otherwise, it can tek a whole clip!
-yep

-Certain weapons have better effects than others. A DMR or Carbine seems to register headshot 95% of the time. While BR and LR only headshot about 70% of the time.
-There should be a limit to how many times they can teleport and/or a recharge time. There seems to be a glitch where scripted acts can repeat indefinitely. Such as a rare instance when a Knight spawns an army of Watchers.
-Watchers seem to have empty space. Their complex hit box makes it difficult to know if you will hit them. Add that to the fact they are already tiny, fly around, and run away, you basically just have a big pest.

-well, burst firing can be inconsistent (not as much as H3 thankfully)
-Agreed. Yep, that is definitely a glitch.
-Yep, it’s why I no longer try using the Railgun on them. Agreed, it is complex. Pretty much. I prefer Crawlers.
OP,
Crawlers are fairly easy to hit, just aim for the middle of their head. Also, set your difficulty on easy if your going for any Forunner commendations. Knights are also easy to kill as well, despite their unlimited teleportation. Make sure you have a power weapon such as the Shotgun, Saw, Rocket launcher, etc, when versions a Knight. I Also recommend playing EP.5 Chapter.1 for killing Promethean’s. If your going for Forunner Destroyer, just be prepared to grind Spartan Ops for a good two and a half months…
I’m assuming we’re also talking about MP Commendations as well.
I think the Mongoose Destroyer Commendation is nearly impossible.
Same goes for Plasma Pistol Mastery and Executioner.

Yes, those are included too. The point is, nobody seems to have double checked the commendations with the resources. It becomes very frustrating, and just not fun, to try and complete certain commendations.
