Enemy HUD/Melee/Aim assist

I am interested in what was the thought behind adding the enemy HUD addition. At first the enemy HUD indicator being constantly illuminated was an interesting addition. However the more you play the more you don’t understand the advantage of it or the purpose. You begin to realize with this setting set to default for ranked matches etc. actually makes it very difficult to determine whether or not your shots are connecting which ultimately affects accuracy. It would be nice if this was either removed entirely or at dim the brightness as default for ranked, so we can see when the rounds are hitting a target. Other then aim assist for controllers and improving the melee it is a great game!
