How do we feel about the guy who is the announcer in ctf?
It’s honestly a little redundant to have him and the original announcer in the same game… same thing with palmer, do we need three announcers? This has been on my mind for a while and I’d like to know what you guys think.
I mean… he’s okay, I guess, but, yeah, it is pretty redundant to have three people announcing things. Probably would be cheaper to just have Jeff announce anyway.

most people don’t want to run into the flag carrier blindly, as thy tend to be occupied by teammates. That’s where teamwork comes in, but it’s a little hard playing solo

Having Jeff announce everything comes off annoying, which was an issue with Halo 4. I don’t have an issue splitting it amongst two announcers.

Having Jeff announce everything seemed fine by me in Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST and Reach, where it wasn’t ridiculously overdone in 343i fashion. I don’t recall ever hearing anybody complain about him back in those days.
Again, it’s just a case of 343i not knowing how to handle this franchise. Jeff doesn’t need to announce every single thing with an overly excited voice, just the important stuff in his calm, badass voice. Like he did with Bungie.

It was annoying in 4 due to the fact he literally stated things like;
“infinity slayer… control power weapons and kill the enemy team to score.”
It’s like he’s describing the objective to a complete fool who dosn’t know what the front end of a gun is for.
Also, his voice got much less raspy, slayegrrrrr…
