I need some help understanding what is going on here, I’m currently working on completing all of my commendations and I’ve completed all the enemy ones except grunt mechs and warden eternal. I’ve played many matches of Warzone and Firefight and gotten the credit for taking out those bosses but very rarely does it ever give me credit for it in the commendation. Is it some sort of bug or am I missing something?

For the Grunt Mech (I presume same applies for Warden, but don’t know for sure) the issue here is:
You need to get the killshot for the commendation to count. Warzone awards points to a load of players who were involved so just because you got points doesn’t mean you got the killshot.
The Grunt Goblin is easy because alongside the boss kill medal you’ll get the grunt kill medal too as well as the red circle in the centre of your reticle showing you got the kill.
For the warden you’ll only see the red mark in the reticle.
I’ve found the Anti-air Wraith (due to high RoF) and Scorpion (high damage sniping for the killshot) to be relatively effective for this

I have been doing WZFF constantly trying to complete the same 2 commandations and I have been certain that I landed that killer blow many times, eg, I once mantis-stomped Warden into the death animation, Not a clue how anything else is able to get a kill shot on top of that, i have been under the impression that it is glitched, and since Warden has no specific kill medal in the carnage report it looks as if no one gets the kill, That is the worst thing about this issue, being unable to see what really happened when your in doubt, The best of luck to you Spartan

Yeah I’ve had several times when I thought I got the killshot but I guess not, I use a lot of scorpions, mantises, and wasps but I’ll give the Anti-air Wraith a shot maybe it’ll work better for me. Thanks.

My comms for the grunt mech are stuck on part 3/5 and progress is on 0/5, it hasn’t moved since I hit 120 and I’m at 148 plus my boots for arena and war zone both need 3 but I have them all, so it makes no sense it even says my covenant destroyer com is complete, and you have to master all Covenant comms to get it.

Grunt Mech was added later so probably isn’t included in the Covenant Destroyer one.
For Grunt Mech kills see above: honestly it is ao easy to not get the killshot. Try the tips above and the kills will come
